Air flow in AE (Particular?)
Hi,
I need to design air flow in 3D space, something like this:

(1:09)
Basic concept is that flow first will be slow and then faster. So small particles needs to be visible. Also, it needs to be in 3D space as I need to compose this with E3D (which is also not easy, but with luma and prerender I can do it). My first weapon of choice was Particular, but the issue is that the path will have curves, so I can't use motion from velocity. So bottom line, I don't know how to make particles moving... I have whole Trapocode Suite 13 (maybe I will update to 14 on dec 6), so maybe other option then Particular? Or other plugin? I thought it will be easy, but I can't get this to work. Without motion from velocity particles are static no movement at all.
Any ideas how to make it?
Cheers,
Mark

Have the particles follow a light and just repeat?
Create a full screen airflow, precompose, make it a 3d layer then mask it to fit the flow at any given moment.

Hi,
Yes, that's what I done, create light but still it just doesn't look like moving. I don't quite understand this 'repeat' part.

Ok, I thinik what you have mean
I used light not as an emitter, but as motion path. Now I have more control, and particles can be speed up or slow down.

i am not sure if it could be done with particular but similar can be done in cinema 4d with x particles or thinking particles.
