melting effect for text
does anybody know how i can make text to appear as if melting from heat?

Masks, blurs, and a lot of key framing and/or good use of the CC Mr. Mercury effect if your looking to do it in AE.

Or you can go into 3D and use the 'melt' modifier in Max/C4D or other apps

Thats would be your best bet for a "real" looking effect. its a time spent vs. Ease of use type thing.

Try Effects&Presets/Distort/Liquify - think this could be what you're looking for (you might also play around with adding Stylize/CCGlass to make it look more 3D melting waxish if you want that sort of effect). Hope this helps. Enjoy.
