camcorder time/date font?

Postby Dave on 11/4/2009, 3:49 pm

Does anyone know of a font that resembles closley or based on the date and time you get on camcorder footage? I have a few fonts sites i visit but no result, (tried a few search strings)before anyone asks "why dont i program my camera to play the real code?" Well i need to composite under it so to speak to make footage look a bit more authentic

Some NLEs have that as an effect. I know it's included with Final Cut Pro. I used it in one of my early test projects when I was learning the program.

Check DaFont.com, the bitmap/matrix/dot style fonts. At sufficient size, they don't look too shabby. I recommend you add a tiny bit of blur to them (Box Blur radius 0.2 or so...). Due to the many straight edges these fonts sometimes cause shimmering/ flicker otherwise.
