OF Interface Freezes While Scrolling

Hi, I'm having some trouble with the OF interface. Twice now, while scrolling through the stack window, OF has frozen so that I can't do anything in the interface except scroll the stack window or change the position of the dividers in the interface. The hover and activated states for all the buttons and folders still work, but all it does is scroll the stack based on where I click.

While it's frozen, the rest of my computer works fine. After Effects stays open but can't be used since OF is running. The only solution I've found is force quitting AE. Any suggestions?

Sure! I'm working on a
13" Macbook Pro
2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Running OSX Version 10.5.8
8GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card
No external graphics or render card

Both times I was working off my external monitor, connected via DVI, and using an external mouse (though once stuck, the trackpad just scrolls too.) I don't know if that has anything to do with it, might just be a red herring, but could be something. I haven't been using OF for very long (about 2 weeks) so I don't have that much experience of it working the right way.

Also, thought I might mention that even when I reset the interface, it doesn't work the way I've seen it does in tutorials. The presets window is always up, and below the editor window. It doesn't hide when I press the space bar either. I wasn't sure if that was a Mac version thing, but I've definitely missed the more efficient layout. Also, the whole interface has been just a tad laggy. Thank you for your help! I hope we can get this one resolved.

Hey, the different interface from the tutorials is from older versions of Optical Flares. Which version of After Effects and Optical Flares are you using?

I'm using AE CS5 v10.0.1 and OF 1.2.132. I'm probably going to get the OF update soon, do you recommend just doing that and then coming back if troubles persist or trying to work it out first?

I've had the same problem for a while now. Mouse seems to be locked into the scroll bar, can't click on anything else.

YES...I have this same problem on 2 different systems (which would make it a bug) - my MAcbook Pro / OS 10.5.8 and my Octocore / OS 10.6.6. When selecting a preset flare and "HIDING" select elements, after a few clicks it locks up on BOTH SYSTEMS. This is the build I am using on the Octocore (same v number on my MBP):

Build: Optical Flares x64 1.2.132
OS: Mac OS X 10.6.6
CPU: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
RAM: 16384MB
GPU Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 OpenGL Engine
GPU Status: Supported
GPU Status Code: 0

Is there an update coming?? This is rough...losing work everytime the thing freezes...cannot get out of the plug-in back to AE - must force quit the app. Please advise ASAP...thanks.

I hope you sustain, upgrade and improve this plug-in for a long time. It is the best Flare plug-in out there and would love to see it taken to the next level.

Not only did I buy the "Utimate 10 Pack" for my personal freelance rig but I requested it for my full time Studio rig. Lots of good stuff in there - and looking forward to more.

I wanted to know if a solution has been found with this as well, as I'm having the same problem - while hiding/unhiding specific elements, the interface become unresponsive, in that you can scroll around and resize windows, but can't hide/unhide anything else or exit out of the interface. Same problem as the other posters - you have to Force Quit AE, which is super annoying, especially since I'm not in the habit of saving in AE often, since it's usually so stable.

I haven't encountered this problem at all on my home system (where OF has been installed for over a year, and I'm running AE CS4), but I've just gotten it installed on a work system, and this has happened a few times already, twice today.
