production chart

Hi all,

in order to smooth my actual workflow,
I'm curious to learn about production charts. How would you list efficiently several videos, details about their production, timecodes, deadlines, notes, how do you name a rush for exemple, etc.

Well I thought it would be easier to show where I am in the production with this, also a fine place to put all the notes I get from supervisors (instead of leaving that in my inbox and sketchbooks...
It would be usefull to everyone working on the same projects, if other people are involved.
anyone working with this ?

Do you think it's useless and that I would better concentrate on the work itself ?

Cheers

I did use these elements to work with, do you think it needs some adds ?
Name, State, validation, time-duration, date of filming, actor, link to story-board, subtitles, link to latest version, notes

By the way, I'm looking for a way to organize our rushes/footage, would you have any advice ? How do you work yourself ?

Hey all,

in order to share some organization advice/tips/workflow oriented, feel free to post here any idea you could find usefull regarding for exemple :

- dealing with a great number of video files (say around 60) and keeping it easy to make any retake (how to "automate" to the max so a retake would apply everywhere - I believe it's hard if some stuff is made not the same way ; not with the same tools)
- how would you build your server / separate folders
- how often would you export the editing to show your leads
- do you know some saving software tools to save your work on the server on a daily basis for you - to free some disk space on your computer ?
- how would you deal with jumping quickly from one project to an other (if this imply heavy downloads from server and stuff)
- how would you name your files efficiently

cheers

Hello,

I'm about to test the shotgun software production tool,

does anyone know about a free alternative solution for a small studio ?

Have a nice day
