Corridor Digital-like 3D Freezeframe tutorial

Hi everyone. Just wanted to put the word out about some tutorials I have on my special After Effects Tutorial Blog site. You can find it here:

The latest one is a reconstruction of the effect used by YouTube's 'Corridor Digital' in their video 'Photoreal'. I call it the 3D Freeze Frame effect but I don't know if that's the official name. It pretty much describes it though. The video quality is not that good as I didn't have good screen capture software at the time but there's also a text version.

It's a interesting effect. But i wonder why didn'y you use 3D projection? I mean using a picture worked out well also. But i think the way they did it was using 3D projection. IDK prob just me.
