Element 3D textur mapping

Postby bink5501 on 09/30/2017, 7:18 pm

Hi. This is my first post, here.

I've been trying to figure out how to texture the front face of an extruded logo so that it looks just like the logo on the top of this comic book cover. So far, I've just used the material found in one of the presets in E3D (see example on concrete, below), but I was wondering if there's a way to make it look identical to the logo at the top of the comic cover?

Can't I just use a "bump map" or something that looks just like the logo to create this exact effect?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like a lighting issue, the sides of the letters in the comic are blown out with light, so replicate it with some lights in AE.

But if it's not a moving shot, just do it in photoshop afterwards.

Yeah, that's the way they designed the logo. I was just going to try to animate it as is. But so far, they are fine with the texture I'm currently using (in that pic). I was just asking just in case they do really want that blown out look on the face of this 3D logo.

Thanks for the input.
