3D Sith Interceptor Model WIP
I have been working on a 3D model of a Sith Interceptor ship that will ultimately be used in a video I am working on. So far, this is what I have.

Everything is geometry at this point. I haven't started working on textures or materials yet (Aside from cockpit glass). Any feedback is certainly welcome.

Great detail, from a geometry point, this is rather awesome. A wire would be better diagnosing any problems with tessellation but so far it looks great. I imagine the unwrapping process should be fun...
Looking foward to seeing the texture version

Here are a few wires of it. For the most part, it is just polygon modeling. The main "plate" per-say on the wings is a boolean object (somehow was too lazy to actually model it out even though the shape is simple). I know that some places have some weird tessellation. Specifically some of the grooves in the hull since I just selected some edges, gave them a bit of a chamfer, and then beveled out all the resulting separated polygon "plates".

Looks even,You did a great job, the higher segmented areas are exactly where they should be. Animating should go well. I really like this model. Have you done an AO render yet?

Here is just the AO

And AO composited over the standard render.
And 4K versions of those two

One recommendation, increasing the scatter and or distance in the AO especially if you plan to use in the composite and if you choose to go with weathered look with texturing, little noise in AO sometimes works well, like a dirt pass. It will really bring the maps to life. Great work again

Quite a good point. I was kind of thinking the same after I saw how the render came out. I shall likely update this thread every once in a while when I finish a new part of the ship.

Here is a little bit of an update. I figured I would play around with comping it too while I was at it.
And here is the 4K one again:

Re: 3D Sith Interceptor Model WIP
A little update. Been working on the back of the ship. Only the left side here since I haven't gone and mirrored it yet:

(sorry about the images not being quite the ideal size for the forum, they get cut off a bit in the posts)

The model is now complete. Here it is rendered with simple textures and lighting.

Final model is 1,250 objects and 696,740 faces.

Let us know if you stick it up for sale on one of the 3D marketplaces, I'd buy it. (As long as I can import it into Element!)
