Quadro is for serious 3D with very complex scene. ATI sucks because it does not have CUDA which as I understand, no video preview acceleration. So, I think you know what you want to buy now.

You won't gain anything with series 700 over series 500... You'll just pay more money which would be better invested in CPU or RAM.

And no, don't buy Quadro for basic 3D and AE.

If you are using Element, a good card like GTX 700 will help, if not then GTX 560 is enough.
