Anyone know what type of mic Andrew uses in his blogs?

Well, in any case, I'm sure he's using a very expensive mic. After doing some research, I've settled on a very reasonable budgeted first-timer's setup with the following:

Samson SP01 Shockmount
http://www.amazon.com/Samson-SP01-Shockmount/dp/B000LQLDM2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1256820734&sr=1-1

Nady MPF-6 Nady 6-Inch Clamp On Microphone (pop filter)
http://www.amazon.com/Nady-MPF-6-6-Inch-Clamp-Microphone/dp/B0002CZW0Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1256820768&sr=1-1

Behringer C-1U USB Studio Condenser Mic
http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-Condenser-Microphone-Interface-Software/dp/B001OF836S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1256820639&sr=8-1

MD5 Desktop Microphone Stand
http://www.amazon.com/Samson-MD5-Desktop-Microphone-Stand/dp/B000MYIIRG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1256820795&sr=1-1

...all through Amazon for a grand total of $138 with shipping. The Behringer C-1 (no USB connection) & C-1U (U for USB connection) received good ratings for its price on quite a few sites including B&H http://www.bhphotovideo.com/

The pop filter seems to be 'The Pop' from Blue:

And, considering I saw elsewhere someone mention that Andrew uses Neumann mics, it looks to me like he's using a TLM 103:

thanks Jax!

I just received all of my order, except the pop-mic. I wasn't really sure what to expect since I had never really considered buying a good mic, but I must admit, it's pretty awesome! For the price, the C-1U delivers - it sounds like I'm in a studio and offers some of that deeper base you hear from radio personalities. For under $150, you can't beat this prosumer setup! The sound really is spectacular!
