3d objects ?

Postby gemma on 09/13/2012, 11:28 am

I'm really gutted that i can't use element on my laptop, i don't think my graphics card is supported so until i build a decent desktop is there any other video editing software that i can import 3d objects into ? I know nuke is one but is there anything else ?

Hi gemma,

Have you tried Blender? Its lasted software updates have included a compositing system. Although mainly a 3D program, the compositing/node system works fairly well, and it's free! give it a try if you haven't already!

Okay thanks i will look into it. Do you know if you could get similar results in 3ds max ? I've got the 2010 and 2012 of max and have a tiny bit of experience with it.

Alright thanks, I'll stick to using 3ds max. I'll look up some tutorials later.
