Buying Videocopilot Products

Postby brendanb on 05/4/2009, 7:08 am

Andrew should make this a blog item, anyhow...

All of you that have been following the site for as long as i have should support this man by buying his products!
I finally pulled my finger out, saved up the cash and bought the mega bundle and I couldn't be happier.

I made my order on Friday and received it this morning (Monday). Most are probably asking what's so special about that? We'll I live on a continent that isn't attached to America, or to put it simply, I live in Australia!
I couldn't believe the prompt delivery and was very happy with the packaging and the pro dvd covers.

Even better, for those of you that scout this forum for the latest tutorials, not all of them can be found online, furthermore there are some great out-takes with sam and other miscellaneous bonus' added.

So get those pennies together and support the teacher!

Oh and dodgey phone pics, but you get the jist, I'm away for work and thanks to VC i could take these disc's away with me and learn out on the road...

Thanks Andrew and videocopilot team from Australia!

Soooooo... :? I take it you're happy? I'd buy them but first I need a job.

I got "The Bullet" and love it! Helped me so much on my color correcting and Blender work. Needless to say, setting money aside to buy more.

I got the mega bundle pack myself a few weeks back and I have to say it's definitely worth it. I've spent the last 10 months trolling this site and was so glad when I got the money together to buy everything. Good luck with the new dvds dude!

This is true. Although I haven't taken the time to count, Andrew has made over 100 tutorials. :D

Wow, this is almost exactly my story! I'm also from Australia, bought the bundle, was impressed with how FAST it arrived, and the quality of the product.

There was no forum back then, but somewhere in the blog there is a comment by me talking about how awesome and pleasing a thing it was :)

I've been on this site since before most of the people here knew about after effects.. lol..

I've been buying every product he has had since the first day he started selling products.. I remember when vc only had free resources like the 35mm film look and the explosion project file.. lol.

I have been a spreader of VideoCopilot at conventions and to students across many different colleges. I am so glad that Andrew Kramer kept vc alive and is doing well. This site is the number one resource... scratch that... the NUMBER ONE AFFORDABLE RESOURCE as well as the number one resource for resources! lol

I get so much joy when new products are announced and when that box appears.. and the smell of the air trapped in the package from sunny California! (where andrew and his crew/brother packaged the contents of the small little box)

mmmmhh.. oh videocopilot... how I love thee.

I plan on getting Action Essentials 2, Pro Scores, DSFX, Serious Effects & Compositing, just about all of them.

I got "The Bullet" and at first I hated Blender (I got into Blender for creating mods for my video games), but when I found some of the features that Andrew taught I loved it, and the tutorials were great (like always) :)

I will for sure buy more VC products, this was the first VFX site I found and the best of them all.

I ordered the awesome All-Star bundle a couple of months ago. I was so stoked at how fast it arrived and how sweet the products are.

Thanks so much Andrew and the VC team!

I bought the "Bullet" and could not wait for the snail mail and direct downloaded. I loved it.
After this post I am considering getting a few more DVDs just to add to my AE arsenal. I am going to wait to see if there are new bundles coming out because I don't want to double buy the Bullet.

The thing that is priceless is to see his methodology, that's what I inspire myself the most from his tutorials. (and some of his bad ass tricks are pretty cool without using pricey plug-ins!)

I couldn't agree more. I live in England and after purchasing one of the products for download I received a hard copy through the post three days later. Effing brilliant. I'd also like to add how impressed I am that Andrew still takes the time to update the blog and keep us informed when he's clearly got very important work on. When you've got your foot to the floor sometimes the last thing you want to do is look at a computer when you're on your down time.

Continued thanks

Re: Buying Videocopilot Products

Postby HD_MAC on 05/5/2009, 4:44 pm

Well folks. Last year I was new to After effects.I spotted a video competition poster in my school and I registered my self. It only has been a few weeks that I was opening after effect and clicking some buttons and couldn't get things going. I was searching for tutorials I cam across video tuts but there were no basic training.
Then as I scrolled down the page (on Google search) I saw Video Copilot. I opened it and it took me long to open because I had dial up internet ( theoretically 50kbs). I went to school next day and I opened the site and I said WOW. This is what I was looking for.
I was abit not happy because there was no download option for the tutorials and the school computer did not have real player and was not allowing to install one. So I managed to download the basic training from here and there but from VC. Then I was clicking button in After Effects because I knew what I am going to get by clicking it.

So long story short I won the best individual Prize. The prize was a video camera Panasonic NV-GS330. This was when some one had stolen my Sony HDRSR10 in a party. Made me really angry :x
So thanks to Andrew Kramer and VC team I have learned after effect. Then After that I have helped my friend to make his commercials for ZTV. I am not from India. My friend gets this kind of jobs.

I am still waiting to learn that bullet effect and get my hands on Riot Gear, Evolution, Designer Sound FX and Pro Score not to forget the twitch.

Once again Thanks Andrew And VC Team.

i can't wait till i have enough for the big bundle... (and a computer for that matter.... having to use the work one... ) and its also great to hear that delivery to Aus is prompt.... there is nothing more annoying that having to wait patiently when the only thing you wanna do is use it!

One day i will have enough.... i probably should have saved my K-Rudd Bonus.... (Aussies got a a 900$ tax Bonus to help with the recession... )

Yeah they do. They use it cleverly and it is hard to notice it.
But the they have used the exact Spin Orb tutorial with out particle in the Sunrise. The face reading segment.

I have all of VCP's products, and love every one of them. As you mentioned, there are a ton of goodies on the discs that you can't get anywhere else, so I am definitely glad to have them all.

I highly value my VCP products and use them on every single video project. I get a ton of "ooh" and "ahh" and "wow" when I show clients the videos I created using VCP products and tutorials. I recommend VCP products and tutorials for every single AE user I come across.

Cheers Andrew. Video Copilot products and tutorials are a must-have and I am glad I have it all. I look forward to the next one.

I’d just like to say a big thank you to VideoCopilot.net as well. I’m an Australian and last Friday (8th) I ordered The Bullet DVD and today (Thursday 14th) I received it. I was amazed because I selected the slowest shipping option and it still arrived in under a week (I had expected to have to wait at least two weeks).
Thanks a lot to all the staff at VCP, I really appreciate the great service and will definitely be ordering from you again.
