E3D Lights Affecting Wrong Side

Postby Jaymond on 04/20/2017, 3:46 am

Hi all. It's been a while since I've used Element. I've just started a new job where I'll be using it pretty much every day and I've ran into a bit of a problem. I've set up a 3D model in my scene using element and added a spot light and a matte shadow plane to catch the AO. However, the light is illuminating the back of the model which should be in shadow. The front of the model which the light is aimed at isn't being illuminated.

I'm sure I'm just being stupid, but can someone help me solve this please?

Your model might have the normals flipped the wrong way around. Also, you might get a better response in the Element forum instead of this one next time.
