Moving through created Crowd.

I was wondering. I need this tutorial(if there is any) to finish my dream project.
I was wondering.
Is there anyway i can create a crowd and fly through the crowd?
Im trying to create a scene where the camera starts behind a crowd and flys through backwards, then fly through the air to catch view of a object.
