Hi all here there is a problem to me.Iam trying to animate a rigidbody(areoplane) .First i animated the plane takeoff then i converted it into rigid body then the animation is not working,
Actually what i want to do is when the plane taking takeoff it suddenly engine fails and it falls on the ground with gravity field and it should be shattered.
so please guide me how to get rid of this problems. thanks in advance
well hw are you using the rigid body are yu animating, it off and on. for rigid bodies you can keyframe the intial movement, then if you activate the rigid body while the object is moving it follows the original path of your animation. so the way to do it is animate the plane taking off then as you want the engine to cut, key in active on the rigid bodie and gravity and what ever other nodes you applie should take over. You will need to bake out the keys after to be able to scrub the animation.
In this type of situation you dot really want to be using rigid bodies, you will get a much more realistic effect if you hand animate the movements of the plane.
well in my opinion first make you airplane as an active rigid body (Optimize you geometry as much as you can and delete any unnecessary history nodes otherwise it will result in a slow simulation) turn off active attribute in rigid body node and animate the airplane and then at the time of engine failure turn on the active attribute. rigid body will inherits the motion of the keyframe and fall . oviously apply the gravity field first.
