Sorry if this has been asked before - I searched and couldn't an exact answer.
Here's the dilemma, I track my shot in Boujou and get what I think is a good track. Test objects, meshes and imported models all track perfectly. Then I export the created meshes, camera and sequence (with overlays for a visual reference) to 3dsmax. The camera data loads fine, the meshes load exactly on top of the mesh in the exported sequence from Boujou. So far so good. Problem, when I render in 3dsmax the mesh is shaky. It never really slides more than a few pixels, and the problem doesn't get worse as the scene progresses but it's just shaky enough to make the effect obvious on certain frames.
Best guess, is this a track, export, import or render problem? I've double checked and the camera fps is the same in boujou and max. I can up some renders if it would help. Thanks, CIA.

Boujou and Max - again

Re: Boujou and Max - again
It's a tracking problem, period. Has nothing to do with Max at all. As long as your frame rate and resolution is consistant then it's the track that is off. Normally a shaky track is a pure sign of noise in your clip. Make sure you clip is clean of noise (either a HD recording or use a reduce noise filter) and high in contrast between the tracking points and the plate.
I suggest you reduce the noise and increase the contrast in AE, then re-track in Boujou. Also, using a test object in Boujou to test the track will make sure the track is fine before importing to Max to then find out it's wrong.

Re: Boujou and Max - again
Thanks unreal! My test objects in Boujou are perfect, no sliding at all. That's what made me think it was a Max problem. I'll try your suggestions on the video and post the result.

Re: Boujou and Max - again
Some wobble of CGI when you compositing to video shot (Track by Boujou).
Maybe it not match of video profile.
example::
FPS, Resolution,
or Sync Your First Frame not Correct with Boujou Camera Solved.
But if you sure your config profiles matching done fine.
This wobble of CGI happen from bad Qaulity of Boujou Feature Track & Camera Solved.
because, some video footage hard to auto-feature track of boujou (motion blur, long shot or anything).
If you have video footage hard for auto-feature tracking.
you need to add manual target track or locator and adjust your camera solved for the best solution export.
you can see about how to fix it in Documentation include with boujou installation.
PS. You must to check the quality of your camera solved before you export to any compositing.
by test add test object in boujou and find some wobble. if you see you must adjust those work.
PS2. Boujou 5 will improve algorithm of tracking for best Quality more than Boujou 4.1.1
you can see new feature in my boujou post.
Hope this Help you guy.

Re: Boujou and Max - again
Thanks for the help guys, I found the answer. It was a problem with exporting the camera solve from Boujou. The “Start Index” in the “Export Camera” dialog box had to be set at 0 for some reason (the default was 1). Setting this at “1” apparently causes 3dsmax to start the import at frame “2” – thus throwing off my final render. I’m sure this can be fixed somewhere in Max but the “Start Index” change fixed my problem.
In the course of learning this software I noticed the tracking data “predictions” dots are quite useful in other software! I was able to use them in AE as a kind of artificial tracking point – worked really well even in my dark and grainy test scene. I guess there’s a way to import the data directly to AE but I don’t know of it. Now, I just need to convince my boss to free up some budget cash!

Re: Boujou and Max - again
AE was setting up Geometry with Y-up.
But 3DS MAX setting up Geometry with Z-up.
This is reason why use don't export to AE with correct geometry
If you want to export your work to any program that have different geometry setup.
You must change scene geometry in boujou to match same as geometry in AE before you export to it.
I just introduce some tips for you.
You must goto "edit" >> "Setup Wizard" and choose 3D program that you use.
Then re-change your boujou scene geometry again if it incorrect geometry.
