TEXT SMASH - BREAKING EDGES

Hey guys, I'm trying to come up with a way to do a dynamics simulation where I can have text hit a wall with a heavy impact.

When it impacts, I'd like to have bits of the edges break off into pieces, but have the core text remain intact.

I'd liken it to dropping a cinder block on its edge or breaking off a bit of the edge of with a hammer, and then the pieces go flying.

I've been playing around with Thrausi in Cinema 4D, but I'm starting to wonder if just using the knife tool would be best or what...

Any ideas you may have would be appreciated.

This isn't "dynamic." Thrausi is great and will be a lot better than trying to manually make cuts. This is incredibly powerful and will probably do what you're after, unfortunately, not free. https://nitro4d.com/product/nitroblast/

I actually did end up using Thrausi, but I used the Voronoi by Spline feature:

Basically, I wanted to create smaller bits around the edges, and larger bits in the back, and this worked pretty much the way I wanted it to.
