Postby success on 12/20/2016, 6:00 am

Hi... Everyone.... Am getting into Graphics newly(A Novice) and I really want to use element 3D but my graphics card would not let me. (Am using Intel Graphics).
I intend to buy and external graphics card, I dont know if this will help me run Element 3D smoothly.

If it will, please which do you suggest I purchase?

or if you have a better alternative to how I can work with Element 3D without buying one, please help put me on the right path. Thanks Alot

There is a list of graphics cards that will work with E3d I would just get one of those that you know will work on your computer if you are getting a card. I have the GTX 970, and it works great with E3d. I think is runs a couple hundred $$.

Optionally, switch to something like fusion which works wonderfully with 3d models (including all the VCP models) and will probably work with your current setup. "Better" would be an opinion, but it is an alternate solution.

You could go for 900 series gpu, it's older, but still great and cheaper. 1060 is nice and new, then theres the big boys, 1070/1080/titans. Just make sure you check compatibility with your cpu, avoid any issues. And fyi fusion is awesome and free. But you may run into similar issues. Its nose based, comparable to nuke, it's 3d system is a true 3d space. I would definitely recommend it if you really want to get into vfx composting.
