Alpha Channel problem from MAX to AE
Hi, how can i have perfect Alpha channel when i render from MAX to AE? I render straight alpha targas and when i add em to after they have this white thing 3-4 pixel around em. And imagine that i wanna composite elements so adding on top of each other 10 layers the alpha is added all time. Whats the best format for compositing and what i do in the alpha options? thanx alot

You have to make sure that After Effects is interpreting the alpha channel correctly.

I haven't heard of anybody using Targa as a file format for a while. It's usually PNGs or TIFs.

I recommend checking out this tutorial to get a good overview of alpha channels and un/pre-mult:
The instructor covers its use in both After Effects and Nuke.
Cheers,
