Keying (green screen) - transparent glass in premiere or AE
Hey all,
I've a footage I need to key quickly, the character has a transparent glass of wine in the hands.
I did it with the ultrakey in Premiere CS6, but I have weird results in the transparent areas of the props etc.
I'm curious of your approach to do that.
Would you have any advice to give me to improve this ?
Cheers

Try duplicating the layer, masking the glass and try a key just for the glass portions.

These shots are tricky and never are as simple as eye dropper keying. VCP has tutorial on keying with semi-transparency(glass/sheer). Check it out

Re: Keying (green screen) - transparent glass in premiere or AE
Thanks a lot everyone for your replies.
I'll let you know how it works for me as soon as I can.
I noticed by the way an other problem probably born with exporting:
with dark hair keying, I notice some biig artefacts and sort of clipping in my .mp4 file...
I'm using ultrakey in Premiere Pro CS6, anyone has an idea of how to improve this ?
It seems fine in the preview in Premiere though.
My export settings in the adobe media encoder are simple :
format h264
preconfig 720p25
then i keep the default settings
levels 3.1
VBR 2 pass, target 2Mbits/s, max 2,4Mbits/s
distance between image keys: 75
In don't feel like tweeking things will change anything drastically?
Also I find it hard to get completely rid of some green reflects on the skin with the color correcter in Premiere without destroying my skin tones to much;
characters tend to turn fast too strong orange or else
