To play in "any" DVD player it has to be a DVD layout - easiest way to do this is with DVD authoring software like http://www.dvdstyler.org/en/

DVD is a format, a layout on how the files are arranged as well as what format they are - I'm pretty sure you can create a DVD layout on a CD and it'll be discovered as a DVD - though I might be wrong, haven't used CDs or DVDs in years now, hehe, I got a PC connected to my TV - I don't even have broadcast television on my TV anymore - it's a new world, for sure...

Anyhow, DVD is the only format that'll work everywhere, in a DVD player as well as in a computer.

I'm not even kidding when I say it kinda creates a social problem, not watching Swedish TV and radio, because I'm completely ignorant on Swedish pop culture. When I watched the Eurovision contest a couple of years back and Sean Banan had a contribution, I was surprised to learn this guy had been famous for years before - I really had no clue who he was - so anytime I get into a discussion with in regard to Swedish pop culture or alike, I'm instantly lost... :D

And for non Swedes in the thread, realize Radiotjänst - "Radio Services" - is a government agency in charge for distributing channel bandwidth for TV, radio and telecommunications, as well as charging for the TV-hardware fee - yes, in Sweden there's a $75 yearly fee in owning a television. Because death and taxes... :?

It creates a problem that there is an outdated law that say you need to make a splitpayment for life on a tv that you own, $220 a year :P
They need to encode that shit so people that want it have to pay for it.

I didn't know the fee as I don't pay it. My TV is only connected to a computer and I don't have the box decoder box thingie needed to get a TV signal in my apartment, so it's a monitor in the eyes of the law. :D

But the fee in itself, as it pays for independent TV and seeing the US media - having followed US politics closely over the last year - it's pretty obvious that's not a bad idea. I'd just prefer it if they'd just financed it through the normal taxation, as it is now, it's just annoying.

And as usual are we way, way, off topic. :D

"independent" tv hehe
My bet is that its not more independent than any other channel that have news. Cant see that a Pampers ad or one of the 100 casino commercials are directing the news left, mid or right.

To sum it up on my end, this is one of the few things i can say that i hate, and i wouldnt dream of paying them a cent.
