Exported .mp4 files no longer play on TV

Postby mystic7 on 06/6/2015, 3:23 pm

Whenever I get done with PP on my crappy little videos I export them, either through Premiere Pro or Encoder, as h.264 mp4 files. The videos that came out good I like to play back on my tv. I have a USB on my blu-ray player that I can plug in a flash drive and play the file. But as of this week, when I try to play the files I get an error message "File Format Not Supported".

I've gotten that message in the past with all different kinds of formats. But older videos I've made myself still play. What could be wrong? I know this is the kind of problem that's difficult to pinpoint from afar, but I'm hoping someone has had this problem themselves and knows the cause and possible workaround.

Nevermind, found the problem. Changed a setting for youtube, not tv friendly.
