Show your 3D compositing videos
Hello
Like many others, I'd like to see people's CG/live action compositing videos..
This was my first attempt at it almost a year ago:

I've not done it much after the pain I had to go through for it...
your turn!

Very nice i like it, i like it alot.
Although i think it would do it a lot more justice if say it was better quality and maybe more than a little movement.
But yeah once again very nice.

Re: Show your 3D compositing videos
nice one - thought I'd also put in my stuff - My recent showreel on Youtube
:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiifJMnofMo
better view it in HQ, cuz some details might get lost in the crappy LQ version
(and the sound problems aren't mine - it's Youtube
)
Most of the stuff in the reel can also be found in my profile - either tests or some short films...
luvd to hear a few nice reviews...

Awesome composites guys. I'm working on one right now, hopefully it will be done in a month or so.

Really freaky character. Great overall setup, spooked me at 11:30am.

Here's my first 3D composite. For some reason i had A LOT of trouble with BOUJOU 4. It kept giving me more than one camera render so i couldn't really do it for long. But here it is:

Re: Show your 3D compositing videos
Oh sorry, I forgot how crappy the youtube version is in quality..
heres a bit higher quality version
http://www.psycho-designs.com/3d/silent.html
PS its still grainy because I wanted it to have that home made youtube feel.. I used an old $100 camera that happened to record video lol...
was not a good idea because all the grain and compression confused boujou.. which caused a huge headache
Eclipse: awesome stuff.. I checked your site.. keep it up !
lol I'm glad it was able to freak people out.. nothing makes me happier..
[HQ link is up there ^]
Good start.. I can think of two somewhat easy things to do to help out a great deal..
- have more objects in the scene for boujou to grab onto .. or add lil marks on the carpet then later [after tracking] remove them in AE.. this should help fix the sliding issue..
- for reflection.. and easy and cheap way to get it right is to take a photo of whatever is behind the camera which would be reflected in real life... then use that photo as a reflection map.. won't be 100% physically accurate but i'll help sell the effect

I am only 14 so don't judge me to hard. I have been learning AE for 2 years, 3ds Max for half a year. I uploaded lots of videos, some of them are in greek, cause I live in Cyprus but it is only a couple of phrases, If you own a youtube account, please comment, rate & subscribe!
