(Watch in Full Screen!)

The teaser for our new advanced 3D model pack is now online and we are officially releasing  JetStrike next Tuesday Oct 8th!

It took a little longer than we wanted but I’m proud of the additional tweaks and added features. The extra work definitely made this pack a killer new product!

October 1st, 2013 @ 12:01 pm
Will you do some sounds or music pack ? :)
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:01 pm

Still looking forward to a model pack with some cars and trucks as well.
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:01 pm
Wow! Awesome work! Could use a little more motion blur though! :D
Never the less, it's outstanding!
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 6:20 am
In most of the shots the jets are being tracked by the camera, so there wouldn't be much motion blur, if any, on the jets themselves. Just the background...
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:02 pm
One word, EPIC!

Would 3d program were they made in?
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:03 pm
I have been on pins and needles for this one. From the teaser it looks like it is well worth the wait. Thanks Andrew.

October 1st, 2013 @ 12:07 pm
Hey Andrew!

October 1st, 2013 @ 12:19 pm

October 1st, 2013 @ 12:41 pm
Amazing!! But what with futuristic city pack?
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:42 pm
Look in my experiment in ELEMENT 3D
Several Full HD ...

Today I did an interesting experiment in After Effects, using the plug-ELEMENT 3D. I took the standard model of an unusual ring and multiplied by the parameters of the plugin. Created several light sources, and did a little color correction turned on the option of depth of field. Then, briefly move the camera position in 3D space. As for me, it turned out interesting! What do you think?...
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 2:34 pm
    Where's the video?
    Shadow Link
    October 3rd, 2013 @ 4:13 am
Why do you post it here? There is an Element forum....
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:44 pm
Well, I guess it's safe to say that in my mind, it's already purchased!! I'm pretty sure (and hoping) that their will be a land vehicle plug in coming afterwards! Great great work, guys!
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:45 pm
Wow, so many moving parts with just 5 groups? Is each plane only one layer?
    October 1st, 2013 @ 12:46 pm
Only need 1 group for Jetstrike!
    October 1st, 2013 @ 1:01 pm
    Animation Engine?
    October 1st, 2013 @ 1:18 pm
    October 1st, 2013 @ 1:36 pm
    Animated OBJ's? or new magic?
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:46 pm
Oh year.
October 8th. so long. I cant wait :D
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:47 pm
Whaa I want Popcorn!!

My heart and body reacted like I was in a cinema and the movie just started!
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:53 pm
I'm going to re-do one of the first fun project with this new stuff :)
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:54 pm
Thank you. Seriously.
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:55 pm
we are freakin' grateful man. you are awesome.
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:57 pm
this combined with metropolitan is gonna kill! i have so many fun ideas already!
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:58 pm
October 1st, 2013 @ 12:59 pm
There should have been a shot of Sam looking out the passenger plane window right before the missile impact. Would have been classic! P.S. Can't wait to use this pack. Did you create a full 3d sky environment?
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 2:26 pm
Nice! This calls for a reshoot.
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:01 pm
This looks awesome. How customizable will the aircraft be. I do video work for a Hurricane Hunters and this would take things to a whole new level. I'd love to be able to add their markings. I saw an AC-130 Gunship in the promo, and can I assume their will be J models as well?
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:02 pm
Omg this is amazing !
I hope there is gonna be a tutorial for the jet's animation and the camera animation . :)
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:05 pm
Great 3D jets models ! Awesome Trailer!!! We need tips from you dear Andrew.Any updates coming to 3D element this year?
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:05 pm
Hey Andrew ...
I noticed vehicles in the parking lots, etc., of the Metropolitan shots.
Is this a signal of things to come too?
    October 1st, 2013 @ 1:18 pm
I paused that, and I think its a photo, not Metropolitan.
    October 1st, 2013 @ 1:24 pm
That was most likely another clip from artbeats bud.
    October 1st, 2013 @ 1:37 pm
It is a shot from a helicopter. We shot a some fun aerial stuff.
    Paul Carder
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:47 am
That's not great that you didn't have the confidence to make the shot look good with Metropolitan.
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 9:34 am
Paul, I don't think it says anything about "confidence". They just made a choice not to use metropolitan.
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 12:53 pm
Paul, it just means it will speed up rendering times; it would take so long if they did it with metropolitan!
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:06 pm
Where is Sam!?

He must be the target agent in the air liner with top secret intel leak, jumping out with a parachute in the last moment skydiving with a F22 on his tail towards the ground!
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:08 pm
I'm going to totally spend all week making jet sound FX. Twice as much when I'm away from the computer.
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:29 pm
Just like Red Bull.
Video Copilot gives you wings!
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:40 pm
You guys are smart enough to include the AC-130 since it's very popular in videogames community !
I bet that the AC-130 in "Olympus Has Fallen" is a toy compared to this masterpiece
    October 1st, 2013 @ 1:41 pm
That aircraft is actually not a jet and will be Free for a limited time with JetStrike!
    Jack Miller
    October 1st, 2013 @ 3:30 pm
What do you mean with for a limited time? I hope at least a month or two :0
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:50 pm
So, there won't be any standard C-130s with this pack then? Ugh. I was really looking forward to that.
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:57 pm
Any chance of animating the flaps and rudders of specific aircrafts ?
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 12:09 am
Don't forget the ailerons and elevators too! and what about the landing gear?
Rogue Robot
October 1st, 2013 @ 2:02 pm
Looks incredible and I cannot wait. One thing though... Aircraft is both singular and plural. You don't say 'Aircrafts'. Not intending to be picky, but I am English....
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 2:01 am
I know. Amongst all the VCP deliciousness that really jumped out at me. I'm English too. I hate myself and my pedant genes.
October 1st, 2013 @ 1:12 pm
When is the new element 2 going to come out? I've been debating on getting this or waiting for who knows how long for the new version.

You guys rock!
October 1st, 2013 @ 2:14 pm
Hey man, That's amazing!!!! keep the good work man. you're the best
October 1st, 2013 @ 2:18 pm
hey VC community!
check out my funny short film about phubbing and alcohol consumption!
Let me know what you think.
It was created with AE and VC plugins.
    Paul Carder
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 3:32 am
Good job Elliott, that short was great! :)
October 1st, 2013 @ 2:21 pm
Was that a model like the one from Olympus Has Fallen? Good deal!!! Can't wait.
October 1st, 2013 @ 2:29 pm
I want my raptor now LOL. Andrew you and your team are amazing and should win an Oscar for customer satisfaction in VFX. cant wait.
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 6:34 am
Is there an f-22 in that clip? I see a lot of f-35 shots but...i'll check again..
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 2:05 pm
ummm. that's an F-22 in the still for the video.
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 5:49 pm
I thought that was an F-35 lightning II
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 5:58 pm
    Never're right it's an f-22..2 engines..doh
October 1st, 2013 @ 2:30 pm
Amazing renders ... As a special effect artist, I can't believe it's all AE. (Well, this is exactly what I thought when I saw the Star trek titles in the theater : "there's no way they did those suns and nebulaes in AE only." ...)

I'm guessing you light the objects with HDRi maps, but how the hell do you do the reactors fire ? Is it just an animated texture ? Particular ? With a deformation added in post-production ?

I guess I'll wait for the tut to know that xD

Awesome work.
October 1st, 2013 @ 2:30 pm
Thank you. Seriously.
October 1st, 2013 @ 2:34 pm
I was literally jumping up and down when I saw this. This is the sickest thing I have ever seen. So excited!!!
October 1st, 2013 @ 2:52 pm
Wow - so good it's depressing. This would have been - heck - "is" movie theater quality footage. Shaking my head at my own inadequacies. LOL
October 1st, 2013 @ 3:04 pm
Hey, awesome stuff!

Anyone know how he did the clip with many moving parts as Element only has 5 animation groups? What techniques do you use to get round that? Cheers
John Jones
October 1st, 2013 @ 3:05 pm
Look, just save us both time - You might as well just keep my credit card, auto charge it and send me the 3D goodness!
October 1st, 2013 @ 3:05 pm
Is the plural of aircraft not aircraft? Did I miss something?

The pack looks simply incredible. Must purchase.
October 1st, 2013 @ 3:20 pm
Andrew Kramer, why did you do this to me. Now I won't sleep until October 8. Oh and guess what, it's one day before my birthday. LOL, now I know what I'm going to get for my birthday.
October 1st, 2013 @ 3:22 pm

October 1st, 2013 @ 3:59 pm
Wow all this for $9.99? You sir are awesome!
October 1st, 2013 @ 4:01 pm

October 1st, 2013 @ 3:06 pm

October 1st, 2013 @ 4:36 pm

Joshua Bowen
October 1st, 2013 @ 6:00 pm
why was there a delay when you said it was coming out in september not to be rude and all
October 1st, 2013 @ 6:10 pm
I hate to be that guy but the plural of aircraft is aircraft, not aircrafts. Beautiful work, though.
October 1st, 2013 @ 6:20 pm
Poor SAM i KNOW he was piloting the Passenger craft!!! He Is Sam NO MORE ;p

Yeeeeiii they will release it the same day of my birthday. What a gift Andrew you didn't have to do that
October 1st, 2013 @ 7:45 pm
HEY GREAT 3D MODEL PACK, i have a question. That City that appeared in the video, was made with metropolitan pack?? it looks twice better than metro city.
October 1st, 2013 @ 8:06 pm
Hey andrew now that you are answering questions... Would you come to my university at mexico (Universidad Panamericana) and give a conference or little course? Everyone loves you here and you are such an inspiration. Everything would be paid of course
October 1st, 2013 @ 8:22 pm
Just blossoms my day. Even if the cost is my head, I will pay for it and get this one for sure. Andrew - God of Adobe After Effects
October 1st, 2013 @ 8:31 pm
Looks beyond amazing. If you can eventually throw in a few decent interiors plates etc of the commercial plane to go with the ones from the Kramamerican Airlines tutorial that would be even more perfect.
Fabiano Peres
October 1st, 2013 @ 10:04 pm
Mind Blowing.
I want those planes.
Ir I had them, these videos would be even better.
October 1st, 2013 @ 10:28 pm

October 1st, 2013 @ 11:43 pm
sounds are also part of the package?
October 1st, 2013 @ 11:59 pm
perhaps as models of tanks like world of tanks ??
Ben Etzioni
October 2nd, 2013 @ 12:02 am
The sounds effects put that video over the top. Where did you get those?
October 1st, 2013 @ 11:24 pm
Now this is completely off the hook wao!
October 2nd, 2013 @ 12:31 am
Looks realistic! cool. I did an experiment with Element 3D as well. But my ones UFO STRIKE! check it out:
October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:31 am
Wow I Really loved It I can't wait until it released!!! More Power VideocoPilot!!!
October 2nd, 2013 @ 2:03 am
Looks brilliant. I'll support VC team's effort, no doubt. And a question about tutorials, I saw rocket attack and explosion. Looks simple enough becouse no any fragmentation. So what is the tutorials content? Will you talk about fragmant and rocket launch dynamics, maybe sonic blasts and some interesting visual effects like that right alongside pack basics? Thanks.
October 2nd, 2013 @ 2:04 am
October 2nd, 2013 @ 2:11 am
Nice Teaser Andrew. There are how many model packs to realese on tuesday only jets are including boeing planes ect
October 2nd, 2013 @ 2:33 am
Nice. But what sells the shot for for me is the camera move on the closeup of the airliner at the beginning.
The real smithy
October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:45 am
Holy crap, I think I just spoiled myself :). Looks like a def buy
October 2nd, 2013 @ 3:12 am

October 2nd, 2013 @ 5:40 am
Andrew just one question, You said the AC-130 model will be free for a limited time, what did you mean? Free in the blog (like the typewriter) or free for Jetstrike buyers? Thanks, real cool pack and great work as always by VCP Team, best regards from Argentina.
October 2nd, 2013 @ 5:46 am
The sounds .... are they from the pack you released some time ago? If so, I finally got a superb reason to head over and snap it up!
October 2nd, 2013 @ 6:02 am

I am about to purchase Element 3D. Will you be offering the Jetstrike pack as bundle options and packs with element 3D, as per the other packages??
October 2nd, 2013 @ 6:37 am
OMG so ready..... i want this now and those people that come on here and talk trash... why do you waste your time? idiots

George Laird
October 2nd, 2013 @ 7:11 am
brilliant, you expect brilliant and Andrew Kramer delivers it every time.

Andrew has raised the bar yet again in my opinion, the best website I have seen for FX stuff.
October 2nd, 2013 @ 7:36 am
Nice! Andrew, Free Pack?
October 2nd, 2013 @ 7:52 am
OMG, you guys totally ROCK! That airliner shot at the beginning is just beautiful. I just love that we can do all this great work right inside of After Effects. What ever you come up with Andrew, I will always be there to snap it up. I"m like a big Kid when you come out with something new!
One quick question though, I remember seeing a while ago, something about being able to now start casting real shadows with Metropolitan? Is that something that might be coming out in the next rev of Element? Just wondering?
October 2nd, 2013 @ 8:08 am
I can't wait for Jetstrike Pack
October 2nd, 2013 @ 8:12 am
WOW i watched it like 10-15 times all over again and again to convince myself that it is made by Element 3D in AE.... WOW this is A W E S O M E once again Andrew you Rock ;-)
reza irani
October 2nd, 2013 @ 8:31 am
I watched the video 80 times!amazing!
how we could track a moving video as a footage(like filming of a road from inside a moving car) to import a model to move on that footage(like a car model to rig on that road)?what should we do on any project like this?!Even with this pack?!!!!!!!!!!!thanx!
Cole Dynes
October 2nd, 2013 @ 8:43 am
it enough to make a grown man cry, but not this man get back in there tear. Once again Andrew you and your team have blown me away, I have turned so many of my classmates at Full Sail over to using your products. and we are always looking forward to more keep up the amazing work.
October 2nd, 2013 @ 9:01 am
You must to make a film - it will be greatest. Это ахуееть просто

    October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:33 pm
    Coming soon from VCP....

    Optical Unflares

For those who don't know when to stop.
October 2nd, 2013 @ 9:37 am
That's great! Who doesn't love jets (and a C-130)!? Would be sweet if the back door on the C-130 opened, just sayin'. :) Looks cool!
October 2nd, 2013 @ 9:40 am
Superb!!!!!!!!!.... I would love to use those in one of my project....
October 2nd, 2013 @ 9:51 am
Great-looking pack! Looks unbelievably awesome. I bet some amazing aircraft sequences will be made with this pack. After seeing the great audio on this, hope you'll do a sound design tutorial some time soon, or general sound effect compositing? I know that's not exactly "Visual" FX but it's still a vital part that it would be great to have a tutorial on!

Will there be a "bundle" price for those who already purchased every E3D bundle, or will we have to pay more again like we did for Metro?
October 2nd, 2013 @ 11:55 am
1. oh yeah@ Just burnt my dinner watching that over n over.
2. Wowgasm!
3. Too many questions. roll on Oct 8th. My God, I wonder how many things will be bombed and/or strafed by oct 9th?
4. Action essentials is gonna get even more of workout than it already does. i'm not allowed to events editing, if that explains anything...

thanks AK and crew@!

You really should consider doing this for a living Kramer!
October 2nd, 2013 @ 12:40 pm
Will dis pack be free????
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:16 pm
    dude. are you serious?
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:17 pm
    we owe them.
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:21 pm
No. He said on another post that it will be priced similarly to the other model packs. So probably $100-150 (aka a fraction of the cost of a single model of this quality from another site).
    October 2nd, 2013 @ 2:23 pm
Agree. sites like turbo quid would charge 300 for a fully rigged and textured high poly model for one aircraft. Around 150 for all of these is amazing! If it was free id mail VC a check just for being so nice.

Hey Andrew,
I've got a couple of questions for you, how long did these take to make? How did you make them? Any tips for 3D Modelling? And how much are these going to cost? I would love a reply, means a lot!:)
Cheers Andrew!
October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:31 pm

October 2nd, 2013 @ 1:35 pm
You could pretty much start your own cult now Andrew, a cult borne of respect rather than facial hair and retro clothing. Good one.
October 2nd, 2013 @ 6:05 pm
Andrew, totally awesome. Would you mind doing a brief tutorial on the heat effect you created for the titles? I'm sure it's fairly simple and I love the look of it.

Wow, this is going to be awesome. Nevertheless, when would you release another sound desin pack (machine, engine, ...) ? Sounds Effects are as important as the 3d work. As a CG student, 3d models do not really interesst me but I'll buy with pleasure a great sound design pack. Tks ;)
October 3rd, 2013 @ 2:04 am
Insane! Incredible work, thumbs are up!
October 3rd, 2013 @ 4:39 am

October 3rd, 2013 @ 12:14 pm
Andrew Kramer, if I just give you my wallet, can I have everything?
October 3rd, 2013 @ 12:42 pm
Andrew! This looks awesome! I'm the official movie producer for the game company "Eagle Dynamics" and they create flight sims with jets and helicopters etc. This pack fits perfectly regarding the content i make. And I keep adding heat blur to some scenes myself, really cool to hear you've made a plugin out of it! :)

Now just bundle this up with Element 3D and you've got yourself a new customer right here! ;)
Cheers! :)

Your visual is stunning as usual, but your sound design skills are impressive. Wonder where did you learn these skills...
October 3rd, 2013 @ 2:05 pm
Another job well done, you have come a long way from the days of jumpy text, sky replacement and slideshow.
you will always be my mentor.
October 3rd, 2013 @ 10:20 pm
Love the music - Two Steps From Hell was the perfect choice for this teaser. I am very impressed with the realism you can push from Element 3D. Can you actually engineer these craft natively in the program?
    January 16th, 2014 @ 7:26 am
Do you know which track is this ?
October 4th, 2013 @ 12:33 pm
For the smoke at the end is the Fume or did you do that in AE?
    October 5th, 2013 @ 3:49 am
I think that was made with FumeFx. You could do some smoke in Particular but such a dynamic animation must be made with fume.
October 4th, 2013 @ 3:30 pm

October 5th, 2013 @ 7:53 am

Help finding video. Several days past a tutorial was posted by Andrew on how to place a missile under the plane wing and have it remain there using E3D. Can't seem to find that link now, can someone point me at it. Thanks for the help.
October 6th, 2013 @ 6:07 am
Andrew, this is what i made with element when he first came out...
Thanks for this great things
October 10th, 2013 @ 12:02 am

Stunning. This looks incredibly cinematic. Is there an equivalent for helicopters or one in-development? Civilian models could include all variants of the Bell ships, like the JetRanger, Huey, 222 ("Airwolf"), the Hughes 500, and some of the military ships like the Apache and Cobra. VFX for choppers is getting better and stronger yearly. I was fooled for the most part with the Black Hawks in "Olympus Has Fallen", and I can always spot the difference. Like the horribly fake A-Star and gunships in one of "24's" 8th Season eps.
