Looks true to form. Is this 100% within AE or is Max or c4d involved?
    July 8th, 2013 @ 1:45 am
Just AE. No 3rd party stuff.

Andrew! This is freaking awesome I mean super AWESOME!!! THANKSx10000
I've also been thinking how to do a really super slow motion shots of blood or bullets and gunshots, in a 3D space with camera actually moving around not just changing angles, it may be very complex but making slow motion muzzle flashes with FumeFX may be very AMAZING!!! :D

    July 8th, 2013 @ 2:31 am
hi matin watch this tutorial serise

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5geZBOyop9o&feature;=youtu.be

and tell him my name . so he will guide you nicely . enjoy
    Evren
    July 8th, 2013 @ 2:55 am
Yeah that series looks useful but he can also do it with Action Essentials - Charges pack. You know side - looking charges can be slow motion.
    prathamesh
    July 8th, 2013 @ 7:31 am
yahhhh evron but when you learn how to make muzzle flash in 3ds the you will create your own muzzle and you also can use it in 3d space .
    Matin
    July 8th, 2013 @ 1:17 pm
See that's the thing, I need the tut from Andrew Kramer because I can't understand other tuts, yeah and Evren I can't use charges for this one, I'm going to move around the muzzle flash in 3d and rotate around the bullet. Only FumeFX can do that beautifully, no other plug-ins in AE.
    Kent
    July 8th, 2013 @ 2:46 pm
Try Hitfilm Ultimate. It's not as well known as AE or widely used, but I've used the 3d muzzle flashes in it. Freddie W used it to create his muzzle flash time freeze. http://hitfilm.com/ultimate

    July 8th, 2013 @ 3:41 pm
Okay than, Kramer's Train Exp. tutorial series is good choice for understanding FumeFX'S key elements. And after that, if you watch prathamesh's tutorial series ? think you'll do it. I watched it and its so simple. Not too complex, and also I don't know good English however I understand it and I understanding Andrew's tutorials too :D Just work about it ^^ And sorry about my English.

The other think, if you need move around the muzzle in 3D, I think you should use After Effects to 3DS motion track script too. Good luck.

July 8th, 2013 @ 5:14 am
It seems we have to make a 3d model of the head and than track our head movement and than the element 3d magic starts to take place. i guess so.
    Rock
    July 8th, 2013 @ 10:12 am
He said that the effect was all AE. And making a 3d model of a head would be incredibly difficult for such a simple (per say) shot.

July 8th, 2013 @ 5:37 am

July 8th, 2013 @ 5:41 am
pls tell me this is motion tracked.. I would totally go fangirl if it was(iam a straight but yea xD).. Mr. Kramer, I think its time you do facial tracking like what they did in Broadwalk Empire with different softwares(cause I cant get PFTrack running cause of the resolution requirement.. sucks I know) and if possible, in AE and E3D!.. that would be cool!.. what do you think guys? :D
    Raghav91
    July 8th, 2013 @ 10:55 am
You can get pftrack working even if your monitor resolution is smaller.

    evren
    July 8th, 2013 @ 6:54 am
Yeah looks like we'll use texture with this tutorial. Patience, we'll see Tueasday, not so far. :D

You should send an email to support@videocopilot.net. They respond quickly and helped me out on several occasions.

Truly super service.... TSS in short. This should be their shortcut: VC = TSS

I just redid my web site and I was going to pour into After Effects again after submitting a proposal to a stained glass shop for video and WordPress web site work. To prepare myself for more proposal submissions to other local companies, I am going to be doing a lot of your tutorials again.

Do you have any tips or pointers on using After Effects for text and animation type graphics that last about 2-3 minuets? That seems to be what most people want these days from small time After Effects users.

As cool as this tutorial looks, the IM3 effect I was most interested in recreating was Killian's holographic projector balls. When I saw that I was literally thinking "Oh, I hope Andrew shows us how to do that..."

Andrew,

Best of luck in your mission to post more frequently. I know I'm not alone in that I check this website every day or almost every day. It's always great to see a new post even if it's not a new tutorial or new product. We all love to hear from you, even if it's a quick inspiration post. I love the idea of your Futuristic City Pack as a community project. I'd love to see more opportunities for involvement like that.
