July 2nd, 2013 @ 12:08 pm
Thanks dude for bringing this great plugin to nuke!
Optical Flares is really amazing and unbelievable powerful.
A great benefit for digital artists!

By the way...perhaps "one more thing" today?...for example car pack for Element 3D ;)? only joking - have a nice day!
July 2nd, 2013 @ 12:16 pm
Hey Andrew can you give us a hint for the car model pack? I know you said its for this summer but we cant wait for more information for these models!

We Love your work!
    July 2nd, 2013 @ 12:29 pm
I think he said the aircraft model pack was coming up next (this summer)..and it sure feels like summer in LA...
July 2nd, 2013 @ 12:38 pm
Very cool. Tons of Nuke compositors will love this. What is the time table for Optical Flares 2.0 for AE?
July 2nd, 2013 @ 1:12 pm
Iron Man 3 & Avengers You Are The Best Andrew!!!
July 2nd, 2013 @ 1:34 pm
Looks great! Any chance of the AE version getting the new lens textures and sprites? I really dig the new "spark" lens element. Or will that be 2.0?
July 2nd, 2013 @ 12:37 pm
I always feel mildly insignificant whenever 'the Nuke kids' chime in. Like my After Effects equipment just isn't big enough to satisfy a VFX supervisor's needs. Should I console myself in the opinion that 'it's what you do with it that matters' or do you think I might be on to something? Am I the only one that feels this way?
    July 2nd, 2013 @ 6:24 pm
I felt the way you do now, so I switched to Nuke. While I have no regrets, Nuke is very expensive, and I am still paying it off. I really do not think you need to worry about switching to Nuke, or ever thinking like AE is not up for the job.

AE is very powerful, and is an essential tool to myself (A Nuke user). The only reason why I would suggest switching from AE to Nuke, is if your workflow with AE as your compositor is just not working anymore. If it is handling what you shove at it, and I am pretty sure it is, stick with AE and keep learning it.
    July 3rd, 2013 @ 1:44 pm
I use both programs daily. But I don't think you can compare them really. Because they're ment for two different things:

AE = High end Motion Graphics.

Nuke = High end compositing (and not to forget the wonderful 32 bit float and true 3d space).

Great looking Lens flare sets for Nuke, we were wondering what your Stereo support is like and also if you have examples of non-anamorphic flares?
July 2nd, 2013 @ 4:58 pm
Any chance of the AE version getting the new lens textures and sprites
