Optical Flares 1.2 will be launching soon, this update features several new improvements including Full Screen mode and adjustable panels and windows. We’re just going through some more testing and it will be available soon. I know it’s taking a little longer than expected but the new features are nice.
This free update is for all versions including 32-bit and added support for AE CS5 in 64-bit.

Awesome, Andrew! Ever since I’ve upgraded to CS5, all of my projects have been coming out weird with no Optical Flares… Bring it on fast!
Nice!!!
This website rocks!!
Look very good!
2 Thumbs up
Cool! Awesome! amazing! Spectacular! (just saying “cool” brought up a page that said it was too short)
PS. When will that short film be up? It’s so mysterious!
Nice… But when will the mini-movie come out? Can`t wait to see the mysterious VFX.
I wish you guys did student discount haha. Im loving Action Essentials 2 though. When I get some more money I may get this. Much cheaper and it looks much better than Knoll Light Factory.
Thats nice DUDE : D
Looks great, can’t wait!
I’m very eager with OF 64 bit, you are rock
So Great , Im looking for it, thanks Andrew!

Cant wait to update

waiting for that Xd was chake your site every 4 minites
So will this update be available for download even though we haven’t necessarily upgraded to CS5 nor have a 64 bit system?
Andrew….
In hingsight… would you have waited until after CS5 came out to release this plugin given the additional work you are now having to do???
Just watched the Star Trek movie with the directors commentary. J.J bragged you up! Must feel really good! Love optical flares!!!! Keep up the epic goodness.
Very nice Andrew thanks for the update can’t wait for the new VFX tutorial

Yalla yalla!! My camels are jumping with joy!!
Great news!
I am waiting anxiously.
Great stuff….as someone who has bought most of your products can you tell me when the second “tutorials” dvd will be released…i.e tuts 65-?

It looks so cool! I can not wait for the new version!
Finally Been Waiting for this for very long time
Wow, looks phenomenal! I’ve been using your tools for only a few months, and people are just digging my graphics and edits now! My YouTube channel for gaming is up, and I’m converting it to a serious multi-media one. Who do I have to thank? Andrew Kramer @ Video Copilot.net! By the way, loved the lens flares in the Super 8 teaser.
Aaaaw… I’m tripping here!
I must admit I would rather have a working CS5 plugin when it was supposed to have been released a few weeks back rather than having another delay now because of adjustable panels and full screen…
nice!!!Andrew how much it will cost your product?

Thanks Andrew !
I love You

Great work, Andrew. Love it when you do things for free. Really learning from you and hope you are still great through my university years with motion grapgics.
Thankyou.
Nice flares on the J.J. Abram’s Super 8 teaser BTW ; )
Wonderful news – but hurry!! – switched to a new 64x OS just for AE CS5 several days ago and am already in danger of going into withdrawals without my Optical Flares!
Hi, Sir u r always good.
And u r the HERO of after effect…
nice!!!Andrew how much will cost your product?
Well it looks far better and handier this way.
awesomo 2000!!1
Wow always surprising us with new useful things andrew …
thnks
Oh Yeah, I’m really looking forward to this Update! Good Work Andrew & Team!
Best – Maurus
Looks great! I see a lot of new things that I am sure will make this easier to use, and faster to edit. Thanks Andrew!!!
Wow, thanks Andrew! I’m definitely gonna get this the day it comes out! Thanks again!
Are their any plans for the release of a demo or render only version? Where I work we have a limited budget, so sadly we only have one copy currently. But a demo version would allow others to still work with your product and when final shots have been approved we could then maneuver around computer scheduling. This would promote your product EVEN more! Thanks for all the hard work as always.
Great, as usual.
thnk so much AK….good news
Veryy Nice Andrew!
I only want to have money to buy this lol
Looks really good andrew. I can’t wait!
The suspense hurts… it really does.
I really want to start using my copy of AECS5 but I have to stick with CS4 ‘cos not many 64bit upgrades have been done. Still waiting on RedGiant updates…
I look forward to it!
since the first coming out of optical flare, when i look at the sun with my eyes nearly closed for the shiness i only see one thing: Andrew Kramer
@elasticmind
I see him too. I always wondered when Andrew made this product: why?
Now that ive used it, i see so many real life lens flares.
Cant Wait to see this! Andrew you keep on amazing me with your generosity
I’d rather put this up on ‘equipment’ in the forum but I can’t get logged in. So here it is…..here:
The ENTIRE Last Episode of HOUSE was shot on Canon 5D MarkII’s.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAaZZQhuyMo&feature=player_embedded
When will it be available???
Dunno.
I hate fiction.
House is the only ‘story’ show I like.
(And maybe ‘Burn Notice’)
Sorry to see it go.
Let’s not stray too far off topic !!!
Excellent notice Andrew! You are the man!!

Any updates on when OF for CS5 will be released??????
how many days for released?
Beuller? Beuller?
Any ETA for release? I appreciate your efforts, and understand wanting to get it right – but a big part of my decision to switch to CS5 when I did was the assurance that OF 64bit would be out that week (ie: 2 weeks ago.) I’ve already completely removed it from one big project – if this is going to be a few more weeks I need to start planning what to do on other projects.
Is it a day or two? a week? a few weeks?
Thanks
This is awesome. I had a chance to do a side by side with your Optical Flares and Knoll Factory and I have to say for being a “established” plugin Knoll Factory, while quite good, just doesn’t have the edge and style your flares produce. I’m sure with alot of fiddling around I could get Knoll to work but you took all the guess work and solved it for us. Thanx for the plug in, and I’m looking forward to more crazy tutorials.
I, too, would love an ETA. I have several projects pending on this and would like at least some idea on when to expect it.
