It’s like your some kind of mind reader. I was just making reflections last week and remembered your reflect plugin, but it wouldn’t work for me. So, I figured Oh well, I might have to actually do something for myself, but then the next week you come out with an updated plugin that works amazing. The scew and angle are incredibly helpfull, I ran into that same problem when creating my own reflections. Thanks!
nobody does it like you, thanks

thanks andrew Kramer! you got me into after effects, and now i can say i love it
Andrew, it just doesn’t get better than your group of good folks. I hope you crank as many great meals out of that new oven as you do SFX for us!
That is a very great tutorial. It inspired me alot. But I have downloaded it. And I have tried to drag it into the support files area. But it doesnt work. What is the proper place to do it. I am on a pc and am using cs3. It should work. I dont think I am doing it right. Please help.
I just have to say,.I just starting learning After Effects,..taking some classes online and looking at all the related sites….. this one is one of the best.
Not only do you share your process but the free presets and and plug-in’s are awesome!

Goog Staff…
As far as I know, you have same presets in your VC stock, and I this that is better than this plugin, but I don’t remember how it is called…sorry dude, but anycase its grate stuff.
Nurassyl Nigmetov
Kazakhstan
I love this plugin Jisus…
G8 something new…
Thank Andrew, great tutotial and Plug-in!!!
It’s the free stuff that makes me happy to shell out 100 plus on the products. If the free plugins have great quality it makes you feel like you are definitely getting your money’s worth. Even if you did purchase action essentials 1 weeks before action essentials 2 came out (I’m over it and placing order now….smh)!
Thanks Andrew for the great products and attention to detail.
Sweet! Can’t wait to watch it!
Keep up the good work man.lovin these tutorials!
very sweet !!! but the destiny is against me in the after effect bushiness cause my aftereffect cs4 screwed
and my inter also not working I’m commenting on my mobile
but TY Andrew you’r the best
seriously does anyone know the answer to my question

Used it and was super easy like it alot. Heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZYSbAq3uvU
You are a sick, talented guy Andrew. Thanks for this.
Andrew if you ran for president of the universe I’d vote you in.
I got a crash in AE 7. “Esception occured. Generated minidump.” Then AE shuts down shortly after.
I meant “exception”, sorry.
loved the tutorial but i wish you could of threw in that nice texture in the project file
Very useful. Gonna have to remind myself not to abuse this one. Not everything needs to look like the Album View in iTunes.
People with AE 7 or PPC processors: We’re testing out a new build that should support PPC and AE7. If we get it working today, expect an update soon. AK
Andrew how much will cost Optical Flare ?
UPDATE is out: http://www.videocopilot.net/blog/2009/11/vc-reflect-rev-14/
Should support PPC architecture now!
Epic… All the way.
Great plugin.
Wish we could find a way to get away from having to use an adjustment layer to fix the rendering problem…..
Thanks
Woah!! what a great improvement on the old reflections preset, I was using it often but now it is obsolete
very helpful.
I hope you make a tutorial about reflection in breaking mirror and glass .
thank you
Very useful plug-in, it did save a lot of my time..
and the best thing is, it’s from you Andrew!
Thank you so much…
all hails AK & Video Copilot!
Great!,working on it
Hi VC Team,
Quick Question about this plugin – is there a way to animate the reflection? For Example: if i want to fly my text in from the top and have it land on the floor plain is there a way to animate the reflection so that it looks realistic like the reflection is being correctly represented on the floor plain while the text is flying in?
Thanks
Tim
Andrew you are such a nerd!!!!!
I really suport you men!!!!!!
greetings from argentina…
groso el plug in papaaaaaa!!!
Ak you are one sick guy………better u remain uncured….maybe guys like us can contract this AE sickness From You…….
Better than Ever………..
Sounds Great. I’m Gonna watch
nice stuff dude!
the tutorial is so great.. what a talent you have Andrew.. from Philippines.
Tim:
Maybe you could duplicate the layer. Then delete the reflection on the first one and change the mode to reflection only on the second. Then you can animate each one individually controlling the position scale and rotation etc. Just a thought to try.
You ROCK AK!
You ROCK Andrew Kramer! Evidently, this is more useful. haha
hi I am from INDIA . And i watch all your tutorials regularly Andre Kramer u r the best….. Please reply me something andrew kramer
Thanks! You rock Andrew!
Hi, I just did a project that lasted 10min. with reflections. Without your plug-in, all with 3d rotations. I wish I had seen this before. It would have been so useful! Thanks!
gooD job videocopilot CS5
1000000000000000000000000000000000 times, thanks to my God of CG, Andrew Kramer.
The one tease of this plug-in I’ve found is that you really do (in most cases) need to pre-compose a text layer when using it (when making a text layer 3D it’s pretty much mandatory). But, when you pre-compose you loose the really nice ability to have the reflection animate with any text animation.
For example (without pre-compsoing and with the text not set as a 3D layer) you can rotate the text in from 180 degrees to 0 degrees. It looks really nice and it takes almost no work. If you make the text layer 3D, the blur looks like crap. If you pre-compose to fix that, you loose the animation ability of reflection.
I’m not in anyway complaining though. This plug-in is freaking awesome. Thank you Andrew.
Reno, in theory, you could animate the text layer. Pre-Compose, Then make 3D…
Holy cow! sry I mean *cough* Holy Reflective COW!!!
Once again thanks Andrew – truly amazing work. I see a perfect spot for this in our project
If ya ever wanna blow up a Heavy Metal puppet band let us know! Hopefully when we get funded we can make you our official “Blow Carl up guy” – and in the vein of this tutorial – “Blow Carl up on a marble floor reflectively guy!”
Our project went through a day / night change when I found Video Copilot and it’s products – we have learned so much from you and appreciate your work to where we will always tout up Video Copilot.net
