Busy Week Ahead

A lot of things are happening this week and you don’t want to miss any of them. Obviously this is a huge teaser but I can tell you that we will finally be releasing our free compositing tool QuickMatte. This plug-in is for After Effects and should work with AE 7 and above. The functions may be a little complicated to explain so I want to include a tutorial to show you all of the handy features. This and more!

Dude u r so lost in the tutorials section...is sam loya in the hospital...?haha Andrew ma man i usually use Eyeon Fusion as my compositing tool just because i dont feel as comfortable in after effects as i would in fusion so Mr.Expert, enlighten me with ur tool....

And bring something about ur presentation to this blog i wanna see how u react to question on realtime...

U've always stayed in the "unreachable" status!!!keep it up!!!

August 24th, 2009 @ 12:25 am
Andrew, I always wondered... Do you ever watch other people's tutorials, or would that be like Brad Pitt reading a "Sex For Dummies" book?
August 24th, 2009 @ 12:32 am
ya Kramer does watch other ppl's tuts...but just for generating ideas, not knowledge...I've been following kramer's style more than i was following his tutorials(ever since "Particles for text" tutorial). He really needs something that helps him generate an idea...once he gets that...he blows around million minds out there!!!
August 24th, 2009 @ 12:40 am
Hello Andrew,

Sounds great and can't wait :)))

Sounds awesome , can’t wait!
August 24th, 2009 @ 5:31 am
What an amazing resource your site is for me, a guy who has Photoshop down(after 16 years of pushin pixels), but only heard about After Effects two years ago. It has been a slow and arduous road to getting my head around After Effects. And I am still so far away from where I want to be, but with your tutorials I am getting there. I have asked if your products will work with CS3 and CS4 or if I would need to buy a version for both of my After Effects versions, but have received no response to this question. I really would like to buy some of your stuff. But being such a noob, I am not sure what would be the best to start with.
Thank you so very much for all of the motivational material you have made available.
August 24th, 2009 @ 5:45 am
Cool! I hope it will hav e many features!
August 24th, 2009 @ 5:47 am

August 24th, 2009 @ 6:52 am
Hope thisone works for macs... Seams like videocopilot dosn't care all that much for macusers anyway, strange when everyone who's trying to be professional is using a mac.

So excited for this one. Between this and SureTarget, I don't know how you guys decided that these should be free, when any of us would have paid regular pricing for plugins of this quality. Thanks for always giving so much to the community!

Pshh...Andrew, look at all of these people idolizing you. Look what you've done and what you've become. You make one post and within a few hours you're sure to receive at least a hundred comments. Kudos! It takes great, innate skill to accomplish this and build such a reputation.

I'm sincerely hoping that you don't leave us all for bigger and better things; you are what continuously inspires me (and I'm sure countless others) to continue with After Effects no matter how futile our efforts may seem at first.

THANK YOU!!!!! (From Israel, since I haven't seen that one listed anywhere :D)

August 24th, 2009 @ 10:21 pm
I am analyzing the behavior of Andrew Kramer, and I see the intelligent way he handles each communication he does.
He reveals every information gradually, so that people are eagerly awaiting the next post.
He speaks very little here and forum posts. Not because he has little time, but because he wants to excite people waiting for the next message.

Am I right?
August 24th, 2009 @ 10:38 pm
Hey Andrew,

What I meant to say was..

I am not happy with the color changes for the blog, what happened to your name being in red?? It is green now(not red!!), as is all the names that have a website url attached to them.

And now I'm advancing to my own Projects.

What I'm trying to do now is the House MD Intro... I think it's very simple and very cool.

Guys, i noticed many of you say Andy is the best.

Maybe he is.

If thats what you think then your right.

However, please be aware that there are some hardcore gurus around who have a different vision and a different approach to the greatness we know as Kramer.

In order to be the best, you should perhaps consider expanding your mind (no, not that way!) but by continuing to push your horizons beyond this amazing knowledge bank and how you will add your own personality and originality to the productions you create (cos i'm seeing alot of lameass copying).

Also, Andy. I would love you to go back a little bit to 'The Bullet' type 3D/AE integration you demonstrated, still one of my favourite short vids. I've got a hunch you used more advanced rendering technologies to get there though :P

Nevertheless, your sharing led me towards a higher level of 3d production. It just feels, on reading many of the posts, that we've gone a bit Youtube here (without the profanity, thank god!).

Wheres the emotionality!!?

hey Andrew big fan and usually you have someone send you a video with some inspiration. Just saw this and thought it would give some more inspiration or show how far graphics have come.
August 26th, 2009 @ 3:35 pm
Thank you Mr. Kramer for your work. I really found it useful and inspirational, what's more, there's that sense of joy we all should have when learning something new, but only few achieve.

Thank you.
