Awesome-d00d-plz?,

The elements themselves can be adjusted however you need them to. You can always go backwards in quality. Same with the frame rate. My crappy camera inspires me to spend more time on my cg and effect work which is really learning the hard way, and in my opinion the right way.

Remember adjustment layers are your friend! And utilize P.E.R.F.E.C.T!

And if nothing else, who cares how crappy your video quality is when your cg intros are ridiculously cool!

I really want to buy this piece of awesomeness. But it’s not available for download and I live in Iceland. Is that a problem, or?

I have yet to take the plunge and support videocopilot despite it being an excellent free resource for After Effects artists and filmmakers alike. There’s no way I’m passing this one up.

How do you make the DVD Cases and Covers?

Templates..? Do you have the template and a nutshell explanation of the Action Essentials Box (Like you show in the Angry Monster tut with the “Aim Away From Face” example. The case is laid out flat. Im not to fluent with Photoshop, but do you is that basically 3 essential layers and you just use perspective to box it up?

I just feel the need to mention that some people who are looking to buy the 2K version don’t really need to.

If you have a regular HD camera, 720 is enough.
I’m sure these effects scale up nicely if it’s needed.

you are discontinuing action movie essencials??? WHY?? it has so much nice stuff in it…like i actually cant imagine this one being better than the first one, i only think this new one is in HD…but you put alot of work into the old one…comon dont cut it out!!!

Well we definitely put a real budget into this product and the better part of the last 6 months. It took over a dozen guys to accomplish all of the effects not to mention the post work we did. The success of this product will certainly lead of other high-quality collections at great prices.

I hate to sound self-serving but one of the keystones of Video Copilot besides all of the free stuff, is providing great tools in the $100 range. When I first started $100 in the professional world of software and tools couldn’t get you much. Even now it is tough to find quality stuff that is affordable. But, being able to keep that price point in place is hard coded into all our future plans.

What kind of minister would be looking for explosions, breaking glass, blood splatters, muzzle flashes, fire, smoke, and dust? Well this one is. Out of necessity I became the resident AE guy at the church, self taught mostly from Video Copilot. We have used movie making as a tool to work with the young people in the community. We have promoted and held 2 junior short film festivals. They were so well received that I am starting a rudimentary summer workshop to introduce some of the kids to AE. Action Essentials 2 would be one heck of a tool to help with our program. I am sure you have never had the need to give a clergy discount any thought before, but I just thought I would ask anyway.

How much pizza and mountain dew was consumed during this project? Will there be crumbs in the packaging?

Btw, Lucas, I think there’s a few sound effects in AE2, but for more, there’s actually some websites you can go to that give royalty free sound effects.. might be a good place to start (I found a lot of great ambient noises and even gun sound effects on websites like that).

My only worry is regarding the length of each footage. Example: If you want to do a burning fire for, 30 seconds or so. If you have a quick fire footage you won’t be able to accomplish that.

Andrew, You made a mistake in the explosion video with the bus. The explosion isn’t reflected in the window of the bus. Reflection of the back bildings is still visible on the bus window instead of reflection of the explosion.
