What do you understand under a few dvd’s? No doubt it’ll be a nice collection again.

A few DVDs means we do not actually know but we will soon. Certainly more than a single DVD in the 720p version.

Your product packaging always looks so God awful.

And by God awful I mean “HOLY SHIZNIT, DAT LOOKS SCHWEEEEET!”

I would LOVE to see a very low-res (even with a noticable watermark over it) footage reel of all the shots if you guys could wrangle that together.

I’m not a 2K big timer but I’m ready to place my 720p order RIGHT NOW! 250 elements for $99 that’s a steal. I hope you don’t figure that out and raise the price.

Per an earlier post on AME2, if you purchase the 2K pack, and getting the 720p version with it, as well. While I can always shrink it down, it would take more time. The alt version was a real selling point for me.

Also, what kind of processing speed would one need to use the 2k. I have a 17″ MacBook Pro that I am about to get the full 2GB of RAM on.

Finally, congrats on Fringe and Star Trek. It was cool seeing your stuff on the big screen.

Yeah Jason, that was the case for the Hard Drive version which we are not going to be doing this time around. If there is room we can add it in but it’s unclear at this point since we are still compiling the elements and content.

What am I supposed to do with 720? I need 1080 at least. I wish it was 1080 and 2k. :sigh: slightly unhappy.

Yes Dan I know. My gripe is I have to buy the 2k if I want a minimum of of 1080p.

What I am trying to say is I don’t see why you’d want 720p. I’d rather have the options to buy 1080p or 2k.

will there be an upgrade path from the 720 version to the 2k version? In other words, If I buy the 720 version and come to the conclusion that I actually need the 2k version, will the money I paid for the smaller version be lost, or could it be applied towards the bigger version upon upgrade?

We may offer an upgrade path in the future but it won’t be dollar for dollar since you will certainly get some valuable use out of the 720p version.

Oh, I believe you mentioned a few weeks ago that the 720 version will be included in the 2k package.
Am I misunderstanding anything?

Actually we considered including the 720p version with the hard drive version of the 2k version. But we are bypassing the hard drives for now and there may not be room for both versions.

I guess I’ll have to go for the 2k version then, and down-convert when necessary.

By the way, what is the codec this is going to be delivered in?

(I personally use the Cineform codec, but I suppose you’ll be using a more standard codec?)

Obviously must be a codec that supports both the resolution and an alpha channel…
