2 NEW TUTORIALS: AE & 3D Max

Ancient Titles:
In this tutorial we will create 3D particles that only appear in the light and build a soft faded shadow for our golden title, all inside Adobe After Effects.

3D Max Soft Shadows:
In this tutorial we will build a simple light array for casting soft shadows in our scene. This simple method yields fast rendering times, especially when compared to other GI solutions, plus the scene can animate without flickering.

hop to meet u one day in this live if not so in the next one

Really nice tuts but does every page have to open in a new window/tab in this site? Little bit annoying.

I think that opening each page in a new tab is way better instead of opening in the same page this way people will get lost very easily! Andrew great tutorials man! The tutorial about 3Ds Max is awesome! You should start make tutorials about 3D max I think that many people will watch your 3D tutorials. You can create 2 sections for tutorials 3Ds Max and AE. And maybe 3D tracking and this way you can show people how to create cool composites, for example how to take a clean plate footage 3D track it and then create in 3Ds Max some CG elements and finally composite all the passes and stuff in After Effects. I think that it will be freaking awesome and you will increase the number of people coming to your site everyday. Anyways that’s just a suggestion. Keep up the good work and hopefully you will start to work on some other big film productions, maybe Transformers 3.. :) who knows :P

So… @ 5:06 on the ancient titles tut… did you lave out the duplicate layer? Did you duplicate or do some adjustment?

Double tutorial day?! With 3DS Max??! *Head explodes into candy*

Nice one, I hope that people see the “Underwater Scene” effects you used here.

by Matt in MO.

Just used it for our church media production logo. Amazing work King Kramer

Andrew Kramer TV!

Outstanding stuff–thanks, Andrew! I’ll be playing with this in Blender.

3D tutorial after long time. Great stuff and hats off to you to your knowledge.

Wanna to see how you made the “The Bullet” promo; especially the text explosion effect. Will you be making the tutorial for the same??

Yeah..I agree with Stefan… a lot… obviously if u start making 3D tutorials it’ll mean more work for you guys and you already have enough work as it is dealing with all of us, but look inside your hearts and you will see that you really want to do this, you want to make all of us 3D tutorials because the entire Video Copilot team is fully of kind and compassionate people,… especially Lam Soya…I mean…Sam Loya :-D

Hahahaha…just kidding dude… but seriously though… It’ll be really cool if you had a 3D section on the site and I’m sure that it will get as much support as AE and if you eventually sold products for it or even some tutorials people would buy them…I know I would.

P.S. Cause you guys are kind and compassionate people…Especially Lam Soya,…Dammit…I mean Sam Loya :-D

Hi from Venezuela,

Hey Andrew and the video copilot gang. Fantastic tutorials! Just a request though: Could you update the Mobile Website with these tutorials? I watch a lot of your tutorials from an iPod touch to save ram, so that’d be sweet if y’all could do that. Thanks and keep up the great work!
