Today is another day of filming for Action Essentials 2: High Definition, and we have been working all weekend building contraptions to safely create the elements for the team and the camera. One of the things we built is an acrylic (plexiglass) cage to protect the camera from falling debris and water blasts etc. The crew has been awesome and everyone has been contributing ideas and solutions to make this the amazing new product. I even have an orange bucket to sit on that says “director”.
Finally!

How about flying human body parts…?

i totally agree with Alex, you have to make this available in iMax.
if you show it in the Hearst Castle theatre, that’s right by where i live…
Alex Action Essentials 2: High Definition, is a product just like Twitch and Action Movie Essentials which has effects and other stuff to add to your own movie, this is not a movie as such just the awesome tools to make one
Awsome:D take pictures and film behind the scenes!!
NICE!
I want an orange bucket to sit on!!

Hi Andrew,

did your plexy camera protector work?
thats sounds crazy for the new DVD I can’t wait.
I’m a bit concerned at the level of affection shown to Andrew in the comments on this site… I mean, I like his tutorials and products as much as anyone, but let’s have some dignity people. Enough with the shameless gushing…
PS: Andrew… I have your picture on my nightstand *giddy laughter*
I buy you a good chair that say “director†HeHe
but orange bucket is pretty unique.
can wait for the new product,
orange bucket……….LOLZZ
Come on man, I need this like a Junkie needs his next fix…
Well, a bucket’s a step up from nothing. The next step will be a box, then a crudely made stool…
you showing off
nice to here that you’re having good time with “shooting”
Hey, that’s great news – I can’t wait for the DVD!
Keep up the good work and the high quality of your products! It’s really refreshing and inspiring to see what people can achieve if they love their job and work with passion.
what about some “making of” videos, is it possible?
OMG! I can’t wait! Thanks for all your hard work!
Nothing like a orange bucket with director written on it!
Buckets are actually surprisingly comfortable.

Great, I totally can’t wait for it!
-David
When is this going to be published?
Awesome, can’t wait!
I hope the elements are well lit, so they can blend easier with our projects, I am so down for purchasing this product in the future.
Speaking of products, I came across a Green Lantern animated film preview and noticed some interesting promotion slates that has video copilot written all over it.

Yes! a director’s bucket!
Andrew, I have a sort of dumb question here. What all is going to be in the Action Essentials disk? It sounds like it might involve some good stock footage for compositing; if that’s the case, rock on!
are you going to do a “hands-on” tutorial on how to make these contraptions? that would be awesome.
and did you say WATER? that will be SWEET! I don’t think anyone has ever done water blast stock footage yet
hello Andrew Kramer! i make great video and have Andrew Kramer photograph! your basket i buy when ?
you are awesome Andrew Kramer!
a director sit! Lol!!! You deserve it man. can wait to see how it is going to be…
Really looking forward to Action Essentials 2…I’d love to be there to see it all coming together and to get the first hand experience! Keep up the great work and thanks again for all your hard work Andrew
I can’t wait!!! There are going to be water blasts!
Could you show us how to make a plexiglass cage? My cameras usually last one take when I try to film underwater and everyone except for the guy in the store is complaining about my expensive hobby. I was thinking about a plastic cage incubator style with some rubber gloves built in to operate the camera or am I thinking too much out of the plexiglass box right now ?
Espero que no falte mucho… en serio
Hopefully is the first bucket of hundreds more.
you deserve that and more for your great work.
also a great recognition for the whole VC team.
Speaking of Plexiglass, you could share some ideas for making a cage for our cameras.
Sounds amazing, Andrew!
I am overly influenced by paint ball over the last few days.. We have just got permission to shoot a video at the arena… a good time to get the action essentials for the post production…
And of course flying body parts are in the agenda…
Hey Andrew,
Is it a union bucket?
//AM
Will we be seeing any photos from the shoot? I’d be keen to see how you do this stuff.
What is the release date?
Love the bucket, wonder if it’s Sam’s karma coming back for putting him under trash…
A director’s bucket, eh? Do you have a scene splitter make out of old cereal boxes?
How much is ame2 gonna cost?
director and autor….great team!!!
Can’t wait !
hey andrew,

thxs

Hey AK, great news hearing your working on that! Very excited to see it. I have a question that just occurred to me… Have you considered creating a DVD of matching sound fx to the footage? Possibly a bonus disc or something? That would be genius, GENIUS ANDREW. For your consideration…
Come on give us a Behind The Scenes!!!! Or at least have someone take pictures!!
Great!
An explosion that showed in “Behind the scenes of Saving private Ryan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRS9cpOMYv0&feature=channel_page)” Wouln’t be bad
Hi, Im really looking forward to this one. When is the release??
@diilman.
Thats a really cool video!
Hi Andrew,
Do you have any release date for us?
hey! Andrew Kramer! you is awesome! i buy the bucket and animate mask feather yes?
hello awesome Andrew Kramer! when buy this amazing DVD ? i put in after effect and make animation filter ?

Ha! Nice one. I am honestly craving for this. Hope theres a lot of blood. I am gonna need it!
well with a bucket like that, the product has to be good!
any E.T.A on the release date?
jebiemy suki ! waiting !
I m waiting,hellyeh
Andrew, you should include a bonus section on the DVD which talks about all this custom gear you rigged up, how you went about setting up the action shots, what was involved, and why. Plexi glass roll cages and such sound fascinating, what techniques do you use in situations where equipment (or people) could be damaged?
There are alot of aspiring film makers in your audience that would want to know how to professionally (and safely) shoot scenes such as these. Your knowledge would be an immennse help to the community!
Which way up is the orange bucket though?
Oh come on now! You need a directors chair! I think you’ve earned your stripes!
Get rid of the bucket Andrew, you deserve a throne!
Ooooh! Seriously can’t wait… Water blasts?! They sound the bomb! (sorry)
We need a pic of you on your bucket
!

Andrew Kramer you are awe some ! when buy DVD? i make the movie in After Effekt, yes? is the DVD musical also?
hey AK, Will the DVD has some Actions Sounds?
That would be great!
Sorry for my english
As far as sounds go… there will be a few bonus sound fx but the product is mainly about providing a massive library of VFX compositing elements. Of course there will be lots of training too.
a massive library of VFX compositing elements…wow, that was inspiring. Cool slogan.
man oh man i cant wait for this product!!! congrats on the orange bucket lol
You should include a short blooper reel on the DVD from a 3rd person view to catch all the action
Granted, not wanting to see anyone lose an arm, leg, finger, etc… just think it would be cool to see a short clip giving an overview of the making. All in all it sounds like a pretty intense product. Can’t wait to see the final product.
Can´t wait for the new product!!!
Congrats Mr Kramer.. you deserve a bucket full of buckets
When can we expect Action Movie Essentials 2 to be out?
Will there be a ‘real clouds’ hd version coming out anytime? Its odd to stretch those cloud videos.
Just like most of the others, I really look forward to this product. The first “Action Movie Essentials” was really cool. (Y)
Andrew Kramer! Hello! is buy new DVD make Battles Star Galactica? yes ?
