SURE TARGET Sample Video

Here is a promo video for Sure TARGET! More of a demonstration…

View Sample Video

As you can see the camera performs dynamic movements with pixel-perfect-precision! Sure TARGET makes animating the camera from place to place simple and effective so that you can focus on getting the look right and not fiddling around with keys.

You may also be interested to know that this entire promo was created inside of After Effects, including the “3D” text which I’ll be sure to demonstrate in the upcoming tutorial.

Although this preset will help you animate the camera, you still have to come up with good ideas and designs… If I could make a plug-in for that… I could finally afford to get a NEW tooth brush and maybe some toothpaste.

For best video quality, we recommend VLC media player to avoid washed out colors.

Of course projects like this, especially the more complicated presets, are possible by the support of this energetic community. So be sure to check out some of our great DVDs and keep this site strong.

We all really appreciate what you do for the AE community.
It's unprecedented and unique, and pretty selfless.
But I'm getting the feeling (maybe incorrectly) that there might be some resentment on your part because peolple have come to expect tutorials etc. from you as opposed to taking them as they come and for what they are- FREE. And done at your leisure and on your own personal time. Which is, no doubt- precious what with family and professional commitments.
But you also need to accept that you created this monster by creating probably the best, most thorough tutorials out there.
How's business? I mean, are you making a profit? Do you need a little more quid-pro-quo from the community?
I would ask that everyone who has enjoyed Andrew's tutorials please step up and purchase 1 (at least 1) DVD from VideoCopilot. It's only fair.
January 15th, 2009 @ 9:17 am
I agree with you Winston.
If we were to have get out of our homes and go take some course or school to learn all the AE tricks we'd have to spend a whole bunch of money and not even learn half the stuff Andrew is teaching us. And there are some people here that use these skills for paid projects. I think by buying the DVD's and other stuff it is the ultimate sign of gratitude for the man who's sacraficing his valuable time to teach us stuff that we love so much.On that note I also think Adobe should be thankful for Andrew's contribution to make AE the most popular program to make special visual effects.

Well when I first got the program I new nothing and I had no clue.I was lucky to find this great site and learn so much and still plenty to learn. Andrews teaching style is the best and it would of cost plenty of dollars to go to school to learn. What impressed me the most he is self taught which gives something to look forward to.I probably will never get to his level but, I am having allot of fun along the way. Who knows someday i might make some money at this!!! I am retired and gives me something to do. This level of training is hard to find enjoy it and let hi do his thing. All good things come to who wait!!

Not a bad idea Giovanni.
In lieu of purchasing a product (for those who really can't swing it) how about a Paypal donation to the VidCo
cause? Maybe you could set something up Andrew?
You could file as a non-profit next year.

Hop we will see a Tutorial about this Promo :)
January 15th, 2009 @ 10:49 am

ha ha! We're working hard on the new tutorials and we certainly don't "resent" anyone who asks for new tutorials, this is our business! It's part of the excitement we want to stir up when we create some cool stuff.

I think our tutorials and presets have become more complex and advanced and subsequently they take a little longer because we have standards now :) I can't just play internet checkers all day.
Tim
January 15th, 2009 @ 1:14 pm
Well, I think you're succeeding in generating excitement. Just check your Google Analytics.. lol
January 15th, 2009 @ 1:57 pm

January 15th, 2009 @ 2:12 pm
AK,
I liked your internet checkers clip!
I think $49.99 would be a fair price for your new preset.
I'll buy it!

You don't have to thank me now, just send me a free copy of Pro Scores and we'll call her even.

Can we all stop telling Andrew how great and awesome he is, We should say "good job, not to bad, you can do better next time" and challenge him to keep making better tutorials, promos, products and presets.. Because I barely have a job anymore without this guy. and if he ever gets complaisant .. I'm screwed LOL

Thanks.

I'd just like to add my name to the list of requests for a "Donations" link. I've bought all the VCP goodies I can afford, but would still like to help keep the furnaces stoked!

Thanks, Andrew, for your invaluable instruction & inspiration... If ever you're shooting in the UK and need an actor - I'll waive my fee to try to pay you back!

January 15th, 2009 @ 9:29 pm
hey this is really cool, any one have any clue when this will be released
January 15th, 2009 @ 10:12 pm
wow, i really cannot wait for this one to come out. i'm really glad we're getting back to motion graphics instead of all the visual effects. don't get me wrong at all, i am 147% grateful for VCP even offering me anything for free (which is why i buy all of the products) - it's just what i do, so vfx doesn't apply to me as much.

thanks VCP, especially AK!
January 16th, 2009 @ 12:26 am
Great work Andrew, Can't wait for the new tutorial, this will be great for quick animations with the camera for some of my future commercial productions :)

Does the 3D Text utilise the Shatter Extrude?
January 16th, 2009 @ 1:40 am
AK,
Dude, you really need to charge for this. My wife would kill me if I made a product like the one you're about to present and gave it away for free.

Okay, I'll sign up for the donate button. Really man, I'll donate, I already have all your products, but you should charge for this kind of thing. OMG my wife is asking me if I'm earning money right now! AFK!

@Kris Woldt
"Does the 3D Text utilise the Shatter Extrude?"

I reckon the text is repeated twice and pushed a little back in z-space, then one is coloured grey, then the last coloured black??

To everyone that feels guilty about getting a free preset:

Go ahead and buy a Video Copilot product! I think Andrew has been pretty clear about that. And if you already have all of the Video Copilot products, message me and I will give you my shipping address.

Thanks!
