I’ve been here since the start. This tutorial pulled a lot of things together for me and I really appreciate it. It’s just a matter of persistence to learn AE. I’ve stuck with Premiere for everything, but I’m finally venturing into AE with a little confidence. Mainly, thank of Andrew…and Sam.

I opened up the SureTarget file in a WordPad to translate it in Dutch for you but if I replace all the English for the Dutch I’m not sure if it’s gonna still work but because of the program language but because there are just a few words to replace I’m giving them to you.

Layer = Laag / Amount = Hoeveelheid / Speed = Snelheid / Slider = Schuif / Value = Waarde / Position = Positie / Group = Groep / Sure Target = Zeker Doel

Hey Andrew I’m wondering: we can match this suretarget targeting system with the falloff preset together? how we can do that? it will be great because layers will falloff automatically when the camera moves between each target asigned with the sureTarget. Ok I’m trying the experiment now, and the falloff respond but not completely well, or at least no for me LOL… It make fall off the layers but they don’t interact dinamically with the null object who have SureTarget applied, my humble opinion is because they share the same camera in the code and After Effects can’t guess what to do exactly because he is reading both commands but separately not as a one interacting group, I don’t know if I make my point, sorry english is not my natural lenguage.

Today: I’m done, I can’t make this work together. If I put one to work correctly when I mix the other, the composition is screwed up. I triple checked every time, and every time I get the same result.

Well the expression needs to be modified to consider the Null instead of the camera. Try posting in the expressions forum. It’s not a yes or no question

OK Andrew thanks for answer so quick dude! but I won’t post it because I don’t need this for some work to do or something, heck, I don’t even work in the area, it was a little experiment for you as the creator of the two preset and if you considered it worth to investigate, but I’m cool now, the answer is: they can not work together right now, until the code of falloff is changed to work with the null instead of the camera. Cool man!

The positive thing is that I was right in my thinking about what was the problem , and that is so much for somebody that is not a serious Fx dude like you . Cheers pal, see you next time and thanks again for answer. Bye.

Will Sure Target work in AE 7.0? This preset reminds me of the behaviors in Motion. Very cool indeed.

This tool is definitely a great investment with the 3rd payment being free.
