New Features

The new animation preset will now include a built in wiggle function for adding smooth random movement to the camera in addition to precise camera control. I’ve also added more locations for each target for a total of 10 (instead of 7). The name of the preset is SureTARGET and a video sample will be online Tuesday afternoon with the tutorial coming out this week. There is more happening but I’ll let that unfold as the week goes on. Talk soon.

This site is like video-geek crack. I check it 3 or more times a day for a fix. Sure beats robbing liquor stores.
January 13th, 2009 @ 9:41 am
I bet this plugin will work great with the vanishing point exports from Photoshop to AE. There is a cool tut on AdobeTV . They use VCPs Evolution in it as well.
January 13th, 2009 @ 10:00 am
I can't wait to see how this functions. I am sure it will be something I can use every day. Man Andrew, you are a gem. Thank you for spreading all of your creative genius-ness around in here.

To give an example of how much you affect the video community, take a look over at YouTube, and enter "Demon Face" in the search box. There are tons of people playing with your demon face warp tutorial. Some cheesy, some very cool, some funny.
January 13th, 2009 @ 10:01 am
Hi Mr.Kramer!!! Sounds exciting. Can't wait
January 13th, 2009 @ 11:09 am

January 13th, 2009 @ 12:20 pm
WAIT This preset will make animating the camera easier with camera shake built in...hence, making my job easier, therefore making my skills less valuable in this already tough job market???

January 13th, 2009 @ 2:37 pm
very cool!
January 13th, 2009 @ 2:56 pm

January 13th, 2009 @ 4:24 pm

I think Grim means that videocopilot is like the drug crack. Its addicting to us video geeks and we have to keep coming back to it or we go into withdrawal. I know ive withdrawn from this site. lol
January 13th, 2009 @ 5:43 pm

January 13th, 2009 @ 6:31 pm
Yeah, it's just a little past noon now here in LA. :)

Andrew probably passed out from the heat we are having.. it's like summer here today. I actually had to turn on the air conditioning...and it's 37 below zero in the midwest right now! Wacky weather we're having.

@ Vers... I have a friend who lives in Berlin. She she says pretty much freezing there right now. Keep warm man!
January 13th, 2009 @ 6:42 pm
@Vers - Speaking of sodas... Have you ever had root beer? That friend of mine in Berlin never even heard of it before. So, I told her to find a store that carries it. After a lot of searching she finally found it. I told her to make a root beer float with vanilla ice cream. She did, and she hated it!

How can anyone hate a root beer float??? It's not natural!

Well, enjoy your mountain dews!
January 13th, 2009 @ 7:01 pm
Yeah i know root beer but never drinked one...i will change it tomorrow! right back to the import/export shop!
And yes i enjoy my mountain dew, thx!
now it´s 4:00 O´clock in the morning and nothing changed on this side...ANDREW, Whats going on??? Help, my after effects is waiting for some news!!!

Peace out

January 13th, 2009 @ 7:02 pm

January 14th, 2009 @ 12:11 am
please make it compatible to german ae!!
January 14th, 2009 @ 2:03 am
There is a free expression translation script... I'll try to post a link with info. It works with several languages of AE.
January 14th, 2009 @ 2:50 am
Besides that, you can simply change the currents language
by using the .exe Files in the "Languages" folder inside
your AE folder.

Yay, here in Germany its already wednesday. How mean. xD
January 14th, 2009 @ 3:00 am
If you would like it to be translated in Dutch I'd be more then happy to do it for you
