November 19th, 2008 @ 1:37 am
WOW... Very nice cant wait
November 19th, 2008 @ 1:44 am
This sounds like its going to be very beneficial!! I've been looking more into film scoring. Just wondering: how does this differ from the Designer Sound FX dvd? Is it strictly film scoring? Or is there something else to it?
November 19th, 2008 @ 1:48 am
Designer Sound FX is more about abstract sound FXs, like hits or impacts and swishes while this product is more about Music and scoring. With that said, they will work together very well.

November 19th, 2008 @ 2:04 am
you wait and wait with baited breath for the next announcement/tutorial, and when all hope is lost you announce the most amazing thing i've ever seen. I'm gonna have to save the pennies.
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:18 am
Hey, thats >>sounds<< good Andrew :-) Great Job :-) Thank you for this. The ArtWork is awesome :-)
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:21 am
intresting! So its a bunch of wav files? Or is it more of an VST plugin/player (standalone also)? Im only familiar with audio in Vegas and it reads all kinds of plugins. Havent worked with audio in AE. Are the files single notes or whole patterns? Wow, that was alot of questions sorry about that. I just got so thrilled over the new product :)
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:21 am
WOW awesome job with the artwork!
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:24 am
The files are already prepared in WAV format and ready to mix etc. No midi stuff or special audio formats here you can start using right away.
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:28 am
Wow, i would've never expected that! I thought it was going to be like choir tracks(Like the ones in the meteor). But no! Your ideas are brillant and endless.
You have inspired me! (Im only 12, no im not, 11/11, im 13. Im already creating good visual effects thanks to you! Just look at my Stop Clock Episode 3. Well, i think its good effects about 1/2 way in. Thank you!( Bit of a long comment).
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:39 am
Hey Andrew,

November 19th, 2008 @ 6:20 am
Wow nice work! I really admire your enthusiasm, all the products you have available so far could keep me entertained and busy for years just by using different configurations and experimentation...but here you are still producing master class products and advertising for that product.

Just a couple of questions...

...What program did you use to produce that artwork?

...Would you do a turtorial on it?...Pretty please =)

...Finally last question, when will the product be out?

Kind regards

De Huzz
November 19th, 2008 @ 6:47 am
Those vines really kickass.. so this case means that, in the promo when it comes out, those vines will be moving and growing along with the sound waves behind it!! now THAT's gonna kickass!! :D i love the colouring really.. oh and the product! cant wait!!

November 19th, 2008 @ 6:59 am
Hey Andrew, will there be a way to hear some samples of the music before we all start buying? I understand there is a promo, but will there be some kind of online preview page we can hear the audio?

Foe me in particular, I am always trying to find some fresh new "epic" soundtracks, and this is very interesting to me. You guys always create really good edgy stuff.

can't wait Andrew, our patience has payed off.
November 19th, 2008 @ 7:09 am
As a longtime working music composer, products like this usually make me want to shout, "Hire a composer, dammit!"

Anyway, judging by the track record of your other products this will be great quality - good luck with it!

I've been using Smartsound for a while:

This sounds very similar, how does this differ apart from After Effects integration?

November 19th, 2008 @ 7:18 am
Hey Andrew, sounds like it should be cool. @ SteveB, I hire a guy called Ryan Perry to do my music scores but products like these are still great for me for placeholder music for previews and rough cuts. Here's hoping that this product from Andrew might cut down on just how much I need from Ryan :)
November 19th, 2008 @ 7:18 am
Great News...
and the wallpaper ist just unbelievable!
Would you be so kind and show us how you did this?

Can't wait for the whole thing!

November 19th, 2008 @ 7:23 am
Incredible Artwork!

What's with all the added grain though. I mean, I really like it, and an interesting technique, but what's the deal? Is it the next big thing to lens flairs?

November 19th, 2008 @ 7:42 am
I contacted you Mr.Andrew about such as a product. And this is really what every designer need. But I think that you were planning for this from a long time ;)
You keep doing the best work.
Thanks a lot
November 19th, 2008 @ 7:43 am
I compose music on my own, but for people who don't compose and don't have money for hiring composer (that people are out there, SteveB:) is investing money at one music package great opportunity to improve quality of their audio-visual projects. I think that the product will rock as all Andrew's products and I wish you the best. Thank you Andrew for keeping your great job!
November 19th, 2008 @ 7:53 am
and wehere is the tutorial for creating a background like this ;-)

looks really great!

By the way, i was at the "Hochschule der Medien" in Stuttgart, Germany today...
I saw a lot of productions and recognized a lot of your products ;)
November 19th, 2008 @ 8:01 am
very nice! curious of what will be in it, am i :) * bad imitation of yoda *

are you gonna make a promo-vid for it?

im excited! :D
November 19th, 2008 @ 8:18 am
this is amazing...AMAZING. Those things are always exceeding our expectations!
Will Pro Scores come with one or two tutorials as well or are the files too big already?
P.S- Awesome vines.
November 19th, 2008 @ 8:21 am
Wow! I can't wait for this - just like every other time there's a new product announcement!
November 19th, 2008 @ 8:28 am

I couldn’t agree more that sound is at least as important as the picture. I made a quick Halloween movie for a couple of contests this year and I think the sound takes it up a notch. I just need to take my After Effects skills up a notch. Thanks to sounds from your Twitch product I think the audio was killer! Can’t wait for the new PRO SCORES product but your fans should be reminded that there’s some great sounds on several of your products. They are all first class.

You can check my little movie out here: Not trying to impress anyone as much as have fun. I may have went overboard on Twitch but I couldn’t resist. If anyone is interested in how I made it check out my blog:
November 19th, 2008 @ 8:54 am

Cant wait to hear it
November 19th, 2008 @ 8:58 am
Can't wait to buy. I need to get some real Hollywood music in my videos. And its not copyrighted. This might be the perfect tool. Thanks Andrew!!
November 19th, 2008 @ 8:58 am
Well good stuff Andrew, you have impressed me with the graphics on this DVD so I bet the content shall be just as good! :D

You don't usually disappoint anyone. Also when you take your time on these products look at how they turn out... Flippin epic!
November 19th, 2008 @ 9:04 am
Hey Andrew, maybe you can do a tutorial about how you did this Wallpaper.. what you think ?
November 19th, 2008 @ 9:08 am
I cannot wait to get my hands on this! I don't care what's in that DVD, it's shiny!!!!
November 19th, 2008 @ 9:10 am

November 19th, 2008 @ 9:51 am
andrew can you give us a sample was in it? Its epic musical?
November 19th, 2008 @ 10:04 am
I can only imagine what the promo will look/sound like... Its gonna be sick.
November 19th, 2008 @ 10:13 am
It's like waiting for Christmas, but not knowing when Christmas is. I hate waiting.
November 19th, 2008 @ 10:26 am
Matt brings up a good question are you going to handle the music copyright. Can we use it in any of our productions. Looking forward to it. Thanks
Luc D.
November 19th, 2008 @ 10:26 am
Awesome! But what's with the noisey grain on the wallpaper, a little too much, no?
November 19th, 2008 @ 10:32 am
Wow! Can't wait to purchase! Looking forward to the promo video too!
November 19th, 2008 @ 10:35 am
Awesome wallpaper Andrew! I put it as soon as I saw you had a link to download it, and it looks really great on my MBP. What's funny is that I'm at the university right now and when someone saw my wallpaper, he said: "What's that? Is that wood chunks?". Needless to say, we had a good laugh out of it.

Thank you so much for designing such awesome products, I've got them all (except the training series :( ) and I'll certainly buy Pro Scores when it comes out. I must say that I have been waiting for you to release such a product for a long time, and I am now pleased to see that you and your team are working on that. :)
November 19th, 2008 @ 10:45 am
That's great news, I can't wait! I know what I'll be getting for Christmas. :)
By the way that's by far the coolest cover design for a Videocopilot product ever!
November 19th, 2008 @ 11:22 am
Love it, I'm not sure if I've missed the point here. I get that it's a load of sound files but is it like a sound bank or does the product itself offer a means of editing said noises? Either way I did a bit of wee when I checked the site today.

All the best Kramer

November 19th, 2008 @ 11:45 am
is it like the auto score tool in soundbooth?
November 19th, 2008 @ 11:46 am
Impressive BG
of course we need more info about the product.
a short tut. like Twitch's should work.
November 19th, 2008 @ 11:50 am
Woot. I got so curious how you made that background.=O I'm gonna buy it. Is it like ACID Studio?
November 19th, 2008 @ 12:03 pm
@Lawrence: If I were to guess, I would assume this product works similarly to products from Sony (for Acid and Vegas), in that you are given a whole bunch of "bed" tracks in different styles that are also categorized into BPM tempos (beats per minute) so that you can use tracks of the same tempo to build your music score. Unless you have beat-stretching capabilities in your software (i.e. Ableton Live, Sony Acid) then you need to use component tracks that are at the same BPM, obviously.

So you would choose your tempo, then choose tracks at that tempo to build with. For example, "Cinematic Drums @120 bpm", with "Cinematic String Orchestra @120bpm", etc., and build up your scores that way. It's a quick and easy way to get a music track into your video, I guess.
November 19th, 2008 @ 12:04 pm
BTW, having said that, you can mix tempos that are half or double the original, so you could stick a loop at 60bpm in a mix with a loop at 120bpm.
November 19th, 2008 @ 1:41 pm
Andrew I'm so buying this! I'm gonna save my christmas money and Pre-order it. I can't wait for this come out! I'm really excited about this!!! :-)
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:03 pm
awesome man!
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:13 pm
It sounds more like Digital Juice's Stacktraxx from what I can gather..."Individually separated tracks"

But I hope that the templates are generic enough for any end user to use...AE templates wouldn't work in FCP (in my case) so I'm curious as to how these "templates" are going to be laid out.
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:14 pm
dude, it`s amazing)
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:17 pm
Awesome! Can't wait Andrew and team!
Wallpaper set!
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:30 pm
Thank you I'm so excited about it
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:41 pm
Got my credit card in my hand and ready!

Love the design too. Excellent work!
November 19th, 2008 @ 2:41 pm
Well, this is pretty much exactly what I needed.
Thanks Andrew, you're the pimp. And I mean that.
Is this going to be anything like garage band where you get lots of different sound mixing options or is it more like designer sound fx where you just get a bunch of premade sounds?
November 19th, 2008 @ 3:12 pm
Wow! Looks beautiful Andrew!

Looking forward to it.
November 19th, 2008 @ 3:14 pm
I will be creating a quick tutorial to explain the product, It's nothing like Acid or any auto-scoring tool.

Simply Amazing. The Wallpaper is outstanding and I haven't seen anything as beautiful as that. As soon as it comes out I'm going to buy it. Just tell me when. Like now . . .. or now . . . . . or whenever you feel like letting us enjoy this great program.
November 19th, 2008 @ 4:44 pm
Hmm dunno about this product yet, I could b all wrong but im not gona delude myself into thinking I can compose or make decent music for film no matter how pretty the box art is. Ill see how this works out, depends how customisable and 'original' it is. Is it cubase? or just some royalty free tracks… only time will tell.

Great product!
I'll be waiting in line!
Will you ever be coming out with a tutorial or product that teaches how to make motion graphics like CNN, ESPS and all of thosebig network style graphics?

I've asked for this and emailed you plenty of times but still no reply.

November 19th, 2008 @ 7:51 pm
fabulous wall paper!!!
November 19th, 2008 @ 8:06 pm
Andrew, you are truly a genius. And, I totally predicted this! Remember when you said that your new product would have to do with music? Well, I left a comment (which might have not been approved by your moderators for reasons that I do not understand) saying that I thought it might have to do with creating your own score!

November 19th, 2008 @ 8:09 pm
Thanks so much Andrew!
I needed something like this like a week ago and then this came out just now!

Awesome work on the box art!!
November 19th, 2008 @ 8:15 pm

Ya Ya for sure for sure,
I am very interested in this product. Like NOW!! When can I buy? I need I need. Looking forward to it. Your next child should be a boy, Then I can call him Mr. Andrewson.
November 20th, 2008 @ 6:09 am
Sweeter than flowers dipped in honey!! I just hope this collection has some mellow slash sad scores for drama and not just scores suited for action films. Looking forward to preview some samples...
November 20th, 2008 @ 6:17 am
@SteveB, thanks for that fella. I have a few years experience creating primative sound tracks and scores for things like logos and idents and do have a little experience. I love playing with reason and 'comping' in Audition. I've played with ableton a little but luckily have a friend who's a pro. Like I said though my experience is limited and I've not put stuff together before on a bpm basis from the start and I must say that it makes great sense. If it is like you said then I can't wait to start putting this stuff together with what sound like fairly easy to use building block. Thanks for the info, and thanks for the tip on the half bpm stuff. That's one of those things that sounds so obvious but I for one wouldn't have thought of straight away so you've probably just improved the usability of this product for me two fold but also opened up other avenues for me to explore.

Many thanks

John Dangerous

Is this going to be the "poor mans" Immediate Music or X-Ray Dog Trailer Music that can be seen, ehhh heard in Trailer like Incredible Hulk, Lord of the Rings Spiderman etc. (dearch on youtube for some examples);-) They charge insane amount of money to use their cues in a project. I hope you do not :-)

One day you have to make a couple of Tutorials on your graphics. They are as superb as your MoGraphics stuff.

OMG!! You just made my week with this news! I EXTREMELY enjoy your products I've purchased (WE HAVE EVERY ONE except BULLET) and the work you guys are doing in the studio and putting out for us artists to use.

You're a great guy that is part of a great team who OBVIOUSLY care about the rest of us while you're all working hard to make money in this screwed economy!!!

What else to do you call a bunch of guys NOT ripping off consumers in ANY WAY while also looking out for our best interests as filmmakers?

That's special. That's

Thanks once again.

Andrew, li am very thanks you are creative,
it is fantastic
December 1st, 2008 @ 12:05 pm
I remember an old review you did of Cinescore (pretty sure it was you, could be wrong) and wondered how this product compares to that. I have noticed that Cinescore is not the greatest for hitting beats in the video. Will Pro Scores be able to be manipulated for swells, hits, etc. at the exact right times?
December 1st, 2008 @ 2:44 pm
