Meteor Poster

On Wednesday September 10th, I’ll be releasing our mini-movie. More like a worthless excuse to use visual effects, oh well I finished the VFX and now all that is left is soundtrack and audio mixing. The release date for the tutorials has not been set but they will be released very soon in 2 waves, the first set and then the second set. On Wednesday you will see the 2 shots I am referring to and what you can expect to learn. It’s pretty serious stuff!

September 8th, 2008 @ 7:40 am
Wow good idea to use a movie as an excuse to teach us great things:) I don't really like the poster though, It's a little dull, the face isn't that well photoshopped and the title is somewhat small in comparison to the other text (I do definitely like the humor;))
However, I'm really looking forward to this movie and the tutorials of course.

Keep up the good work,
Greetings from Holland
September 8th, 2008 @ 7:40 am
I'm so upset...

I always rely on the lens flares and they've never let me down before...

If not the flares, how about Sam?
September 8th, 2008 @ 7:47 am

September 8th, 2008 @ 7:49 am

Awesome... Waiting for it...
September 8th, 2008 @ 10:14 am

looks amazing ( as usual )
September 8th, 2008 @ 10:16 am
1. shot : looking up and he sees the meteor. since the camera is only shacking he can track in AE.
2. meteor lands on the street. the camera goes around the big hole in the street. for this he needs boujou. so here he tracks with boujou and then in 3d studio max he creates the hole. then imports in AE for tweaking.

this is what i think will happen.
September 8th, 2008 @ 10:19 am
Andrew.. do you EVER make bad stuff? really amazing what you're doin here man.
September 8th, 2008 @ 10:42 am

hey guys ;)
just wondered what "the most over-rated film ever!" means in german? anyone got a translation for this? ^^

thanks :P

gr8 poster, gr8 tutorials, gr8 website btw! =)
September 9th, 2008 @ 9:30 am
Great poster! I like making mockup poster even if its just for a written project. I love the headings and subheadings. Hertz is german for Heart - makes sense that frequenzy is measured in Hertz. Not that this all matters for outrunning a Meteor... but maybe if you get the resonant frequency of the Meteor... you can burst it appart??
September 9th, 2008 @ 9:38 am
Hi Andrew!
I have learnt more from your site than any place else, and wish i had found it much earlier, will definitely make it up to you soon, Guru!!

September 9th, 2008 @ 11:12 am

September 10th, 2008 @ 12:44 am
Just curious - you mention you're doing sound mixing, but where do you get your sounds for projects? I already purchased your "Designer Sound FX" but that still hasn't seemed to be enough... or maybe I'm just not creative enough with what I have...? Anyhow, any pointers at all would be fantastic.
September 10th, 2008 @ 1:02 am
