Here is a short excerpt from one of the upcoming tutorials on The Meteor.
(The first set will be out this weekend!)
The message is:
Even non-3D folks will benefit from understanding the work flow between AE and a 3D program even if you are primarily a compositor or dictionary salesman! It’s WIN-WIN.

3D MODELS

COOL!!!:D Love The Meteor!
awesomeeeee
HEY ANDREW…
Will this Training series ask for CS3??
Or could it be done in AE 7?
AND THE “HOT RECEPTIONIST”… DOESNT ALWAYS HAPPEN…
Funny stuff! Hey, coffee-taste-soda?
thanks for the important info
And look out for next weeks new product release from Video Copilot – Coffee Flavored Soda.
Loaded with sugar and caffeine it is the perfect drink for anyone working in post production!
Yeaaaaa its a pleasure to hear your voice again after 1 month without tutorials.^^
Cool
You can use AE 6.5, 7 and CS3.
Lol, great stuff Andrew, love all your little jokes.
Great Stuff !!!
Yeah as amazing as your tutorials are, I think a lot of people would lose interest if it wasn’t for your sense of humour =D
Lookin forward to the new stuff!
Hey! Are we going to get to explore the lobby?
Hi Andrew!
IS There any new tutorial for this month ?!!!!
Thanks for Projects.
http://After-Effects.blogfa.com

Thanks and have a very nice weekend
I cant wait until the tutorial will be online!
I am getting crabby…
hey mr. Andrew did you create the universe?
thx for the clip!
nico
LOL!! brilliant
YEAH thanks !
Lol. Nice!
Either way, i’ve always been for integrating 3D, even if i can’t afford 3D MAX. I’m trying to learn blender but am quickly learning the reliability limitations of it. Thanks for the great tutorials and looking forward to the series
weeehoooo… I’m gonna grab me a coffee flavored ice cream now.
and that one guy with a zune lol. That was cool man. made my morning thanks =)
i must say this was a BIG tease before the weekend.
amazing he he he
looking forward for the tutorials
Nice studio layout… Is Sam the “one guy with the Zune”?
No, i think Andrew. He works on a Windows PC Maschine, no Apple, so he is the guy i think
*LOL*
I want the tutorial!!!11
LOL! this is very funny.
looks like its going to be a great one and funny too
Cheers
P
you’re such a tease, man… looking forward to the new tuts
Even though I am not interested (or naturally talented) in 3D modeling…I am totally on board with learning how to integrate finished 3D work into my AE work flow.
That, my tiny brain can handle.
Thank you.
I love Jim Carrey! He is my hero!
hey men i cant see that video!!!
why?!!!!i wanna see it!!
@EFILMS24
just install the newst version of Quicktime or just open your eyes
Any chance one of the tutuorials will include the workflow from premiere to AE to render out? Copy/paste or import the project what’s the best way to get it into AE?
oh man, I can’t wait. I know you will be using 3d studio Max, but I’m sure I will be able to somewhat follow along in blender.
Dude…I really miss that Video Copilot music. It feels like I have not heard it forever. I am really looking forward to the meteor tutorial. I am a Maya animator but I have not done much on the AE compositing side of things. This will really help out.
Jim Carrey is HILARIOUS! He is just as crazy in real life ^^ (youtube “Jim Carrey 2000″)
Looking forward to the tutorials
Comic Genius. (I’m talking about you too, AK)
Cool dude cant wait.
Christopher Oliver
.COMcomics
PERFECT we can use AE7 yupi!!!!!!!
Dude! I am so psyched for the tutorial! you do a great job Andrew!
AK, you make me feel that learning AE is the best thing in the world
You are soooooo funny! I look forward to the integrated humor as much as I do the videos! What makes your humor the funniest is how close it resembles real life. “all iPods and that one person with a Zune” hee-hee
Hey Andrew,
I am Boiling right now, I can’t wait to see The Meteor tutorials.
I have to say my friend you have a hell of marketing skills
.
Peace.
Intresting to see the new technique and use of Boujou by you! Thanx for $free$ projects. So nice!
haha jim carrey lol
Kooool, but cant waaaait for some tutorials
That’s hilarious, although here, the 3D, Editing, Sound Recording, Media Storage, and Compositing all happen in my cave.
That’s right, I have a cave. The nearest window is 40 feet from the door and all you ever see out there is dogs emptying their bowels.
That’s not to say I don’t love what I do.
Humm… will there be any coffee flavored coffee?

I wanna be in THIS studio !!
Been a few of these offices… the coffee is the most important part, but you forgot to put the backdoor on the diagram for all the smokers!! puff puff… animate animate… puff puff… magic lasso tool… ( my eyeballs are falling out and my lungs are black )
Im the 1 guy with the Zune!
Haha, “All with iPods, and that one guy with zune.”
Haha – I gotta say Andrew, there are many people who do tutorials and in order to make them a little more interesting try injecting humor into their work. You are one of the few who truly and consistently succeed at this. Your tut’s are always hugely relevant and in general fun to watch.
Now that, my friend, is a Win-Win.
Thats one of the big problems i have is working in 3D i know i can get it down if i keep at it and start with basics or something. Do you have any suggestions or advice to where to begin if you want to start modeling and incorporating 3D motion graphics to your work? I got about a year left for school and studying Visual Effects and Motion Graphics so i need to start putting a reel together and wanted to include alot of motion graphic work into it.
So thats why i ask what would one have to do to start getting comftorable in 3D what would be the best place to start?
hope you answer back
Thanks
Martin
I can’t wait for the tutorials!!
Man, I can’t wait to work in a fictional studio. I haven’t had a coffee in years. I just can’t afford one.
Thanks Andrew
crap..im “that” guy
I’m always disappointed when I hear that Video Copilot tune because then I know the tutorial is about to end…
Thanks.
waiting for the tutorial
I like the jokes! man it was a long while without a tut but we dont have to wait anymore. great
kool beans
Andrew… don’t ever tease me like that again… damn it…
Hey Andrew..you are a pretty funny guy! The studio I am at in Tampa Florida has a great coffee room but I wish I wasn’t the 3D guy and the AE guy and the Flash guy and the Dreamweaver guy and….man is Fictional Studios hiring? BTW comments were made on the morning radio show here about Fringe and your opening. Good Job! Can’t wait for the tutorial.
you tease
LOL. It was in Quicktime…. so I could easily download it and share with friends with I pods.. and that one guy with a Zune!
i cant watch it…
Coffee Coffee Coffee!!!!!!!!
Thanks Andrew, thats exactly
what Ive been looking for lately.
I think I’m gonna open a studio with only a lobby and hot receptionist.
hot receptionist….
ANDREW ANDREW
Wait noooo not as a receptionist
I’m also “that guy” around my studio. If Mactards weren’t so much fun to mess with I’d give the zune up. The coffee lounge is also where the creepy guy, that everyone thinks puts his creepy rape van to use, hangs out. He drinks nothing but Coffee-Cola(Slurm), because “It’s highly addictive!”
Also, before anyone flips out over the mactard thing, know that I prefer Linux over windows.
LOL, very entertaining
Very cool! This reminds me, it would be interesting to see some tutorials that utilize the lightning/advanced lightning plugin.
Hey! I have a zune…I was very offended by that…I know that was a direct shot at me, as a compositor I am proud of my zune! (and I’d like some of this coffee flavored soda)..:)
Lol who is John?
