Is the soundeffects included in Twitch, are they exclusive to Twitch, or is it from Designer Sound FX?
And how did you make the 3D part? where the big Twitch tittle is? That scene looked nice, loved the growing wires.

March 5th, 2008 @ 8:21 am
Dan Ebberts wrote an expression on his site ( that triggers expressions when audio exceeds a certain threshold. I'd like to play with Twitch and see if I could link some of its parameters to these audio threshold values.

That way, things could easily Twitch to the beat of something. Might be cool.

Can't wait to use this to help with a trailer I'm cutting.
March 5th, 2008 @ 8:28 am
Awesome, simply awesome! And only 20 odd GBP to boot.

Silpmy Awesome!
March 5th, 2008 @ 9:40 am
May I say that this plug-in is well worth the $45 asking price, especially coming from a guy who knows his AE.

I own all but two of your products Andrew, so I am a huge fan. Keep it up!
Ara Hollisian

March 5th, 2008 @ 10:47 am
Twitch is Tasty....mmmm
March 5th, 2008 @ 10:47 am
Master Kramer You had done it again: The most amazing thing is the price I love it

March 5th, 2008 @ 10:56 am
thank you!
thank you so much, this is really great stuff and i've been looking forward very much to seeing it!
i'm not sure if the RGB split was in the plugin the first time u showed it, can't remember, but i think that was a very nice effect and using twitch as a transition was simply genious!
i'm just curious, will this be in any bundle pack? maybe along with the tutorial DVD?
and by the way, are they going to be released simultaneously or will we have to wait a little longer for the tutorial-DVD?
March 5th, 2008 @ 10:58 am
hey i love your stuff!! quick random question tho. how do you get the hexagonal lens blur like you have in this tutorial? thanks man!
March 5th, 2008 @ 11:00 am
This is awesome! I will be buying it!

People be sure to support VCP and Andrew Kramer - buy this plug-in.

You continue to produce cutting edge graphics / video and present it with a simplistic approach. Things that look hard, become easy with VCP's help!

You are my number on source, thx!
March 5th, 2008 @ 11:11 am
This looks cool! How did you do the snakey-pipes in the promo video? That was amazing. It's so advanced, especially compared to the old VideoCopilot. Here's an old clip from a tutorial that's no longer available. I guess I've been on this site forever.
March 5th, 2008 @ 11:15 am
I have a HUGE PROJECT coming up for my advanced film class at the end of the month. Twitch would be perfect for it - too bad it isn't ready for Final Cut Pro yet...
March 5th, 2008 @ 11:31 am
Lookin' good there Kramer. Lookin' pretty dang good.
March 5th, 2008 @ 11:35 am
I've just read Mark Christiansen Studio Effects from cover to cover, interesting recommendation AK, but I'm looking forward to these 7 Twitch tutorials with added enthusiasm.

Good work fellas @ VC
March 5th, 2008 @ 11:47 am
great, nice demo, keep up the good work
Twitch is awesome
March 5th, 2008 @ 11:51 am
You've outdone yourself once more. I'm amazed with the promo vid, and I've already decided I'm going to buy this product (this will be the first one I try).

I'd love to see a tutorial on the 3D text at the very beginning of the promo vid! That looks awesome to me (or well, the texturing and lightning).

The second scene is good, but if you had kept the dust particles coming from the floor that you made in a post some time ago, it might have been cooler.
March 5th, 2008 @ 12:02 pm
Who were the bikini girls?
March 5th, 2008 @ 12:05 pm

I wasn't really impressed when I first seen the very first promo on youtube. But what you've done with it in this promo....WOW. Like some of the others, I've definitely changed my mind. I'll be getting this for sure.

I'd be nice if you included the tutorials on how you did the promo stuff.

Good job dude.
March 5th, 2008 @ 2:32 pm
Man I an't wait for this....Cool as Hell!!!
March 5th, 2008 @ 2:38 pm
Now that is actually the good form of seizures. Twitch is everything and more!!! i love it

About the tutorial, i realy would like to see more about the transition Twitch...

Because i liked ? No. Because the girls. =D
March 5th, 2008 @ 2:44 pm
I would pay 10 dollars extra for those sound effects, the electric sound from the beginning and through out the whole clip.

"if you're just wakeing up from a seizure you just missed a great show."

that was hilarious, i feel bad for laughing though because my friend has had them several times while i was around. they, of course, don't remeber how they went to the ground.

but uh, awesome. i plan on making a purchase as soon as i get another freelace gig. thank you to everyone who makes this website work.

March 5th, 2008 @ 6:12 pm
It looks absolutely amazing man.
March 5th, 2008 @ 6:17 pm
awesome !! cannot wait!!

btw, can you make a tutorial on 3DS Max, something like the reactor stuff like the bridge, or how to make the stringy thing in the underground cover scene in the promo?
Just Amit
March 5th, 2008 @ 6:32 pm
this really is a picture worth a thousand words :)
March 5th, 2008 @ 7:23 pm
Hey Andrew, this plugin looks amazing!

The video is also very cooool as well. I was just wondering if that title sequence where it says Twitch was done in a 3D program or all in after effects?

Also, where how did you create that underground parking lot where it's listing the different features of Twitch?

Once again Thank You for this great plugin and your help and great job!
March 5th, 2008 @ 7:47 pm
AK, even though many people feel you should stick to AE tutorials, I feel that there's enough of us that visit your site who would truly appreciate a tutorial or two involving 3D. I myself would like a run-through of the growing cables in the Twitch promo, both animating them and bringing them in as a 3D object in AE (I notice the water appears to reflect them properly). Of course, this is just a request for when you might have time and inclination. Thanks so much!
Juan Francisco
March 5th, 2008 @ 7:53 pm
Awesome stuff! I'll make a systematic chaos :D

Does the underground scenario come with it?
March 5th, 2008 @ 8:00 pm

March 5th, 2008 @ 8:21 pm
I was just working on a project in AE and this will make my job much easier.

Thanks for all you do.
March 5th, 2008 @ 9:10 pm
well done guys, i can see alot to of visual fx compaines grabbing this one. you guys must be proud of this beast. congrats VCP
March 5th, 2008 @ 9:13 pm
to homer,

andrew uses 3d studio max to create the twitch and car park shots, and then brought them into after effects and applied the other elements to the shots. there are heaps of tutorials on 3d max out there.

get out there and learn

and have fun
March 5th, 2008 @ 9:34 pm
I have been following andrew kramer tutorials for some time now and he has really helped me on polishing some editing skills, couldn't do it without these great tutorials. Heres a video dedicated to him: ""
March 5th, 2008 @ 10:05 pm
I can't wait to order Twitch)

March 5th, 2008 @ 10:16 pm
Hey man, that is an awesome plugin for AE, thank you. You really are a Genius, man. I am your Big fan from Ecuador.
I was trying to write an AE plugin, but man that was really hard; a lot of codes (define codes, interface codes, render codes), oh man, i said it before, you are just a GENIUS.
I better wait for your great products...
Thank you again.
March 6th, 2008 @ 12:29 am
Awesome! can’t wait to buy it.
Greetings from Spain.
March 6th, 2008 @ 12:34 am

I can wait too !

Thank you so much for all !
March 6th, 2008 @ 12:43 am
Fantastic, you are doing the things easier and better with your plugin. You make a magical things.

March 6th, 2008 @ 1:05 am
What a torture... It's listed in the products, but we still have to wait... :)

Anyway, just wanted to point out that, even if you did a little demo some time ago, I didn't expected that much from that plugin. There are really tons of possibilities, far beyond the simple light randomizations/etc. You've got an order :D
March 6th, 2008 @ 2:15 am
soooooooooooooooooooo niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 6th, 2008 @ 2:20 am
Had my doubts, but this thing looks INTENSE!

March 6th, 2008 @ 2:41 am

CraZy DonKey
March 6th, 2008 @ 2:54 am
I’m starting to stock up on Mountain Dew and fruit roll-ups.
Because, after I download this plug-in I’ll be spending all my time on the compy.
Andrew Keep doing what you are doing and the graphics world will be better because of it.
March 6th, 2008 @ 3:10 am
The thing about creating a DVD for a plug-in, is that it is updated frequently and replaced with a new version. We considered this, but in the end this was the best way to provide you the product more efficiently with future versions.
March 6th, 2008 @ 3:26 am
the promo is da ish! maybe you show us some technichs how you created the clip...i mean little parts of it, not the hole clip! cant wait to order twitch....!

This is the only place where people wait anxious for a promo video that makes you jump and buy a product. Very well done! I'm wondering if (1) part of the promo video was using 3dmax and, (2) if it will be included on the DVD (or download version).

Greetings from the Caribbean!

March 6th, 2008 @ 8:17 am
AK- will you be uploading info re: the disorder presets? i mean, i could wait until sunday when i buy the thing... but i'm curious/impatient. :D

Just a suggestion to go along with your nice Hi-Res DVD covers would maybe be a lightscribe template so that all of your downloaded products have a nice consistent feel. Just a quick little idea I had. Keep up the great work on your products, they rock!
March 6th, 2008 @ 12:15 pm

My friend wonders what you could really use Twitch for, do you have a list of possible uses? I think you could use it for just about anything, but a list might help him decide to purchase it. Thanks.
March 6th, 2008 @ 1:23 pm

Dear Andrew , now that the Twitch part has been dealt with
When is the Advanced Training Dvd's coming.

Sorry if I'm being a bit demanding , because of you now my clients are getting
more and more demanding, they want cool visual effects and since you are my
only tutor in the VFX side of things I have nowhere else to turn

Now, I will be very glad if you will do a lot of 3D training esp 3ds and C4d, I'm coming away from Maya after some reseach. and I want to incoperate these in my workflow.
Let me thank you again and VCP guys , I'm making a living thanks to you

March 7th, 2008 @ 1:09 pm
Nice stuff there! Reminds me of Linkin Park's new single lot's of twitching :P
March 7th, 2008 @ 2:37 pm
Really fascinated by the promo! I'm sitting here trying to understand every aspect of it... but I'm really blown away by the growing wires.

Andrew, were those really made in AE?? I've watched pretty much every one of your tutorials, and that makes up nearly 100% of my AE knowledge. So taking what I know and seeing those wires, the only effect i can imagine you used was Particular...? But the green and other light 'reflecting' off the highlights of them just boggles my mind!

Well done! I hope some day you'll share your secret on this one!

March 8th, 2008 @ 3:12 am

March 8th, 2008 @ 7:23 am
hey Andrew, Twitch looks amazing but i was wondering if it will work with After Effects 6.0? And also do any of your other products work with after effects 6.0?

thanks for all the help Andrew and Videocopilot!

March 9th, 2008 @ 11:35 am
Will the plug-in be released at 12 o'clock tonight or mid-day tommarow?
March 9th, 2008 @ 3:29 pm
It's the 10th right now for us guys in Australia...but i will prob need to wait till tomorrow - stupid time differences..cannot wait.
March 9th, 2008 @ 4:02 pm
If the VCP web server goes down, it's probably because of me refreshing my screen so many times.

Where's Twitch??? LOL

March 9th, 2008 @ 4:20 pm
By the way, I believe the wires were done in 3ds Max with the Loft Compound Object. The animation is created by controlling the object parameters between keyframes.

Handy for creating wires and bridges :o)
March 9th, 2008 @ 5:02 pm
Andrew are you hosting it at 12 tonight or tommarow?

Hey Andrew,
I'll buy twitch as soon as it comes out! I'm pretty sure I'll be another satisfied customer. One thing I've been wanting to do for ages is to get Film Magic Pro presets into Apple's Color. I've tried to do it myself but to no avail. I can't translate the AE Levels effects into Color's gain, gamma and lift controls. Is there any chance of getting the presets for color, or someone telling me how to translate the values across? Cheers, Jacob.
