I plan on getting Twitch sometime this week. i'm sure your poor server will be cooled down by then. I guess server overload from popular demand of your product is a good problem to have.

Quick Question: will this work in higher bit depth than just 8? that way you can get that cool-ass HDR motion blur lighting like you showed in one of your tutorials?

BTW: How come you haven't accepted my MySpace friend request? I'm not a bad guy. I promise I'll never ask you to buy a ring tone, or join a dating site. heh

Hey Andrew. I'm 17 years old and I go to the Aiken County Career and Technology Center and I work with this program everyday. Your tutorials are amazing. You are like a genius when it comes down to it. If I had to choose someone out of this world to meet, it would be you. I have just learned so much from all of this. Thanks for all the help, keep the tutorials coming, and great job with Twitch.

Andrew,
Can't wait to get it. I'll wait till the server heals. I just entered a commercial contest here in Detroit and you would not believe how many disciples you have here! If I saw one more recycled "fancy title plate tutorial" I was gonna quit and take up needlepoint. If you do a youtube search for "89x in 30 seconds" you'll find quite a loyal following fully equiped with Evolution and everything!

Hi Andrew! Just bought and downloaded with no problems whatso ever! Just starting to watch the tutorials and I must say looks like a plugin I will be using a hell of a lot! How many plugins are on the market for After Effects where the creator goes through every single control in the plugin? And show the many many uses it can be used for? Fantastic package! And I'll mention it where ever I can!

Hey Derek, Andrew said the following to me regarding PPro CS2:

"We did some testing and for some reason there were issues that we could not resolve. We were hoping to make it work with CS2 but there were too many problems with the API so we do recommend CS3."

It appears to work for me in CS2 but obviously Andrew wouldnt say this if something isnt right i just havent encountered the issues yet..

But anyway fantastic product Andrew, well worth the purchase!! Thanks alot dude keep up the great work

Doctor Jones the tutorials cover the making of the promo plus "other bonus features" Its a very powerful plugin and I can really see where the time and effort has gone into the making of it. There is nothing ive seen that in the plugin market that touches this very very versatile plus its a 32bpc gem! For the money its well worth getting and im sure Andrew could have priced it well worth more than the price stated!

Hey Andrew....I was looking at the RGB Split Function an I had a question/thought/idea....haha....would you be able to make footage actually 3D if you split the Red and Blue Channels in a certain way using layers and such to make foreground closer and background far away? Just make the split larger for close up and closer together for far away? I could be completly wrong...but if thats the case.....you just got another effect.....and selling point!!!

March 11th, 2008 @ 11:49 am
is it possible to use the RGB split function but have three different colors, something that would work better with the comp? or are you stuck with red, green, and blue?
March 11th, 2008 @ 11:51 am
Bwoogie,
Just select downloadable instead, if you accidentally forget to change the delivery option our processing team will make the change before charging. This delivery option is just our default.
March 11th, 2008 @ 12:00 pm
The RGB split is simply using the actual RGB channels from the image so the color information is set by what is available. Now if you want to make the colors different you can try using the Color Operator and tint the result.

Got the TWITCH plug-in last night!!! BRILLIANT! I love that you encourage people to make the plugin work uniquely for each project by giving us complete control over each individual behavior! I'm glad to see that the default settings are broad...
The thing that bothers me most is when I see videos on youtube using the EXACT program files created by you (Andrew), only changing minor properties like the text to make it their own. I know it doesn't bother you much... but it sucks to see others abusing your gifts. I'm entering a short film into a film festival (DFWindie Film Festival) and you can bet your ass I'm putting videocopilot.net in the special thanks! Thanks Andrew!

@nisse: that's the watermark. you need to put your twitch keyfile in the same folder as your plug in to remove it.

@matt: best video EVER.

must admit i had my doubts about twitch. however, i re-created a title sequence originally done with Tinderbox and twitch made it happen a bazillion times faster. this is a badass little plug-in. well done, and excellent customer service as well.

money well spent!

I think the "DeathMan" title was a preview of the film Andrew is making with Sam and friends (HMMMM!)
Look at the tutorials and it will give you all the clues you need.
Just something to think about.

Can't wait to see it.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Mr. Kramer just a request for a new tutorial,
always great to see that theres an impact or shockwave alongwith some BANG! Makes a scene more cinematic with that wiggle expression u add.
I was wondering if you would include a tutorial that is related to something similar as
in the Matrix-P1 movie where (almost at the end of the movie) a helicopter collides with a building and theres this great Shockwave along with some great particles of glass just spreading off the point of impact ... i realized that it could jus be possible after watching the planet explosion tutorial, but thet tut is not that advanced or..i don no...to do something of this nature
This should help:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1h8QC0VjDyI

Trying to recreate these effects manually would take hours and hundreds of keyframes.

an excellent addition and now my favourite plugin :)

March 12th, 2008 @ 9:25 am
Yeah I agree, the promo looks AWESOME and like Suvir said, maybe it's similar to the light streaks?
March 12th, 2008 @ 10:12 am
The "tentacles" from the promo were probably created in a 3d app using an extruded nurb which was animated along its spline curve. You could achieve something similar in trapcode stroke or particular, but it wouldn't look the same...you wouldn't get the subtle reflections and shading.
Andrew, you and your team put together a wonderful plug-in...Cheers!

Andrew,
I have enjoyed playing with Twitch - very cool and useful in so many ways. Have even tried some experiments in combination with 3D Stroke and Particular. I also will be checking out Grundge in the future. If you do a Twitch ver. 2, you could add a few new operators like; spin/rotate (behavoir controls for spin center, strength, etc.), a built in glow, etc. I consider Twitch to be the best 3rd party plug in I've seen for some time.
Thanks,
Brett

Bought Twitch just a few days ago.

Great plugin and totally worth the money. Howerver, it takes quite a bit of render power. Previews can take quite some time.

Im working on After Effects CS3

MacBook Pro
2,4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB SDRAM
GeForce 8600 GT, 256 MB

Im running OS-X Leopard (i know it has some issues with CS3)

Has the long rendering anything to do with my system?
March 13th, 2008 @ 3:26 am

Adding more RAM is DEFINITELY the way to go since your comp is basically the same as my MBP.

I have the 17" HD display 2.4GHz IC2D (bought it Oct. 26th when Leopard came out) but I have 4GB of RAM and have no issue with "long" render times.

I recommend OWC's RAM at www.MacSales.com Can't beat it for $97.94 (current price)

PLUS don't forget to use OpenGL for your renders...MUCH faster times when using your OpenGL 2.0 on the NVIDIA card.

I was just thinking, this plugin applied to some greenscreened (or possibly just masked) actors or objects or areas could be pretty damn cool. Maybe applied to a hologram effect or to make someone or something appear or dissappear in a neat way. Like that set extention tutorial, if the castles "twitched" into existence, or some sci-fi-matrix-world-is-anything-real or beam-me-up-scottie type thing. Or even just the next awesome car commercial.

Great work Andrew et al.

P.S. 67 more days til Indy.

For Andrew (Not Andrew Kramer)

I cant help realizing your comment above. Your comment may sounded like complaint or demanding but arent you glad he made this awesome tutorial and plug in for us with a descent price?

He is not going to cover the whole intro he did for twitch because some of those scenes requires 3D max or whatever program he used.

Remember, andrew kramer is making this tutorial because he wants us to get an idea how your project is going to be and not to copy cat his project, if it is then it wont be an original. If you copy one of his project and people might say, "hey ive seen that intro before". How do you think that feels.

In Conclusion, dont get disappointed if he didnt show all of the intro as tutorial. Everything he attaches as tutorial in that packages covered the whole idea how to create twitch :)

Really worth its price! What a good Plugin. I was having hunderts of Adjustmentlayer with wiggle operators for glow movement and stuff like that. No i can have it all in one, in combination with shakepreset its all you need for stunning entertainment

My first Twitch Projekt, had to be finished within 3 Days and i love it :)

LOVE Twitch I have already used it on several projects! I have a question maybe someone could help with:
I am trying to add and expression to have Twitch control the blend with original parameter of CC toner. So that when twitch well twitches the blend with does the same. Say goes from 16% to 50% blend based on a value of Twitchs light going from off to on. Is this possible? Is there a better way?

I love it! Especially the sound effects. Some of the effects are exactly what I've been looking for, for a project.
