The picture looks nice. But there is something that makes it not as realistic. Perhaps this is due to the small inconsistencies curvature of surface Sam’s and Terminator faces. I mean that surface of Sam’s face had not the same curvature as Terminator’s face.

Of course this tutorial gives me a lot of helpfull information.

Great effects as always. It provides a great example. However, I think that limiting the small skin tears, toning down the burns, adding displacement to the skin edges (to give a raised/swollen/wrinkled effect), and adding your own eye glow would make the effect more powerful in a film production.

Here is a picture I made a year or two ago using a similar technique.

My picture lacks feathered edges, needs more edge burning to exaggerate the skin tears, but I feel that the eye glow make the effect more powerful. If I were to do it again though, I’d try to tone down the brightness in the center of the glow.
