Very cool AK...but I wish there was something about monkeys in it (I like monkeys)
Hee hee :)

Twitch is still in the testing phase and yes it was used in this promo but because of the different ways the Twitch can now be used it is important to make sure it works very well.

Just another example of us at Video Copilot taking it to the next level :)

We want to release only HIGH quality products... like Evolution.

@ Andrew Kramer

I asume that each design is made of 80 or a 100 ( maybe more) individual layers that are masked, or trackmatted on.

I also asume that many of these layers are duplicates of one original that have been scaled, rotated, and positioned in to another place, with a time remap adjusting when they start to apear.

now what i am saying is we could use our creativity more if you gave us a simplified version of the each of the designs in an AE project so we can rearrange the layers and design our own…

it seems that if you release this product as it is, and people use it… it will scream videocopilot…

maybe it can even be an opsional download… but please consider it as i think this is a serious flaw in your product…

does any one agree???

thanks for listening…

Andrew, a question regardin your promo, how do you make the camera movement when the background changes like you entering a second area? Is all set in 3d and you animated the camera like it fits? Like the Transition from "170 Design" to "Pre-Keyed" and later the circle movement from "Arrows" to "Bonus".???

Looks great man, can't wait !
November 7th, 2007 @ 12:43 am
Love the idea here! Can't wait to add it to my collection. So how do you know what we are going to like anyway? You have some kind of mind reader or something?

Although, I would really like to have a monkey shipped with my order. Next time include the monkey!

Thanks for the inspiration, Drew...

P.S- mac or pc? I'm a mac man... how about you?
November 7th, 2007 @ 2:31 am
@ naim

I can see what you're getting at, but I don't think it's necessary. If you really wanted the designs at their source then I'd suggest starting from scratch yourself as it would result in an even more unique style. Evolution is here so you don't have to start from the very beginning, and there's enough leeway to make individual looking comps (from what I've seen).

As for the style screaming videocopilot, I saw an advert on TV last night for gum that displayed a very similar design aesthetic. The Evolution design is everywhere, but I guess it'll be up to the Evolution user to make it look unique.

I agree with Conor, Andrew has saved many headaches for me and Evolution is just another asset that will make my production stand out. The product looks amazing! I have a quick question though. I have only been using VCP for about 6 months. When the holidays roll around are there holiday bundles or anything like that. The fam is asking and I am directing them to this site. Just curious. Great job to the whole VCP team!
November 7th, 2007 @ 5:52 am
I don't know what i want the most, Evolution or Twitch. Both look so awesome! Guess I'll get 'em both.
November 7th, 2007 @ 5:57 am

Where do you get the background music?
I like the idea of this background music for future projects. How and where can it be sourced from?
Thanks

Hi Andrew, Nice product! I which you had this ready before I made my order in October. I would like to order this soon, but I want to get up to speed with deisgner sound fx & riot gear. When will you have riot gear 2 ready. I think I'll just order both the Evolution & Riot gear 2 once ready.

Andrew,

Can we pre-order? Like now! You guys really produce outstanding creative elements in all your products and the quality of your products have definitely shown to be in constant evolution - even if Sam sometimes acts like a monkey. (Just kidding Sam-we all love you.)

Anyways. Pre-order pretty please!!!

The higher quality video promo for evolution is much better that the flash version
it contains all the details and it demonstrates the high quality of the product.
=D

Evolution is definitely worth buying.

AK-47,

I'm a FC editor fairly new to AE. A friend recommended your website and i've become freakishly hooked. I've purchased many of your products and have already used them to "wow" my clients. Your tutorials are not only entertaining but actually useful for real world applications unlike some AE tuts. Very cool to download the Evolution trailer and go frame by frame.
I've tried to make my own animated flourishes, it became very tediousy. Looking forward to creating with your product.

I like your style Kramer...

@Todd: Thanks for the link. That contest look's really cool. At least, it could be intresting to give it a try :)
That would be really cool if someone from VC win that contest

Andrew what happen if i have a spanish version of affter effets the evolution twister preset works well in this version, and one more thing i wanna say thank you for all the tutorials, they really help.
November 7th, 2007 @ 11:17 am
http://www.videocopilot.net/evolution_twister.html

The twister works with virtually every language of AE.
November 7th, 2007 @ 11:26 am
Andrew,
How come you cant just sell Evolution now? Are they still making copies and packaging it, or is it ready to ship and you are just trying to build some more hype around the product? I have always wondered that when it comes to product release dates. Anyway cant wait.

You, my friend, are a prolific genius and true inspiration! I hope the world is prepared for a deluge of evolution inspired VFX, it's gonna be EVERYWHERE! Ive seen riot gear used at least a dozen times on TV since its release (and there was me thinking this site was my own dirty little secret!) Check this out for some very nice use of your Riot Gear ink http://www.dstrukt.com/_docs/reading_nature.html P.S where can we see some of your short films??? Keep it up, amazing stuff.

Hello,
Thanks for the great work! I was a little disappointed in that you didn't include how to make the animated flourishes and arrows. Other than that it was well worth the money. Would you consider making a tutorial in the future showing us how you made them?
Thanks.
November 26th, 2007 @ 4:46 pm
I suspect if you search for "jayse" and "make things grow tutorial, you may find a tutorial on how to create these elements.

Do you know how I can make MY OWN animated flourishes? I don't want to use other flourishes that are already made. Do you have anything for that?
