Oh and by the way, is that you who says "evolution" at the beginning of the video preview of evolution.
November 6th, 2007 @ 3:15 am
Actually that is Mr Sonny Garcia.
November 6th, 2007 @ 3:23 am
H Andrew.

Quick question: Will you be showing us how to make an element jump from one comp to another? Like the arrow in your promo (at 18 seconds) - you used this effect quite a bit (at 12 secs), and I would love to know how it is achieved.
November 6th, 2007 @ 3:33 am
Good lord! You truly are a genius.
November 6th, 2007 @ 3:37 am
The "Endless Growth" tutorial that is included on the DVD, will show you how to set up a camera to follow the growth of your elements.
November 6th, 2007 @ 3:48 am
Certainly one of the most efficient tool to increase productivity. I'm not sure that the case for the creativity.
I've seen for the last six month over the net a lot of videocopilot-like stylish animation. Problem is that they all begin to very look the same.
I'm a big fan of your blog and tutorials, you guys are very good teachers. But providing us with all those great graphic animated elements will make us lazy, and therefore will probably standardize a lot of creation. Don't you think ?

But I will buy this one even. ;p
November 6th, 2007 @ 4:10 am
Wow! This looks absolutely incredible! And the current EUR to USD exchange rate makes this a great steal for anyone in the eurozone.
November 6th, 2007 @ 4:11 am

This is Awesome. Really cant wait. Will it be available for download or only with shipping? :)
November 6th, 2007 @ 4:13 am
Nice Work !
You allways do things great for every one!

Let me ask you something, you send those DVDs to Brazil ? or that way is very expensive to do that ?

Donwload is better way, but your DVD have a nice design ( and your work for ) are worth buying it!

November 6th, 2007 @ 4:20 am

November 6th, 2007 @ 6:09 am

Looking awesome!!
Just what i need!!

Quick question before the 12th november:
The colorize between the different layouts? Is that a normal adjustment layer with the color animated? Looking great!
The making of the promo, is this also on the dvd or can we expect that as a tutorial about how you did that?

Thanks, waiting for the 12th.
November 6th, 2007 @ 6:14 am
very nice promo-video...def. worth the money. marked the 12th nov. in red :) did you write the score for this or are you using "ready-to-use" scores? nice one andrew

Very excited! I know the product does not roll out until the 12th... any chance of you doing a "pre-sale promotion" for those serious about buying?

Thanks again and look forward to the full release! :)

Hey Andrew --
I'll definitely be ordering on day one of this being released!! Also, I know I've asked you before, but you've never really answered...

Who does the music for your promos?

I'm having a lot of trouble finding that 'epic' feel for a couple of the videos that I need music for and wanted to know if you'd be willing to let the secret out as far as who you use.... :)
Please? :)
November 6th, 2007 @ 8:02 am

November 6th, 2007 @ 8:52 am
Hey Andrew & Crew,

This product is absolutely amazing!!
I watched the tutorial and I'll definitely get this one too.
Really nice work and excellent quality!
Hope to see more products like this in the future^^.

November 6th, 2007 @ 8:55 am
Wow, awesome promo!
And as it was mentioned before, I would also like to know what is the music you used here.
And to answer joberg's question- this epic music comes from production music libraries and is mostly aimed towards the movie trailer market. Immediate Music, Two Steps From Hell and X-Ray Dog are some of the names you might want to check out.
November 6th, 2007 @ 9:18 am
I'm pretty sure that he gets at least some of the stuff from APM Music. I did a project for my company that licensed the library for our use, and I downloaded a few tracks that sounded VERY familiar. The Riot Gear one at least. It's good stuff. Too bad the license ended with that one project...

Andrew, feel free to drop this post if you don't want this revealed.

November 6th, 2007 @ 10:23 am
So is the gallery just to look at or is there a way to import the clips from the gallery?
November 6th, 2007 @ 10:28 am
really awesome work andrew :) Will be nice to have it in my Video Copilot Collection on my wall :D

would be sweet if you could create the ultimate compositing DVD, a DVD that is way beyound "Serious Effects & Compositing".

I know i have to post this on the tutorial request, so i will :D

Take care!
November 6th, 2007 @ 10:34 am
Andrew can u make a tut on how to make videos like the promo, with all the dimensions and zooms and stuff. iv tried a couple of time to make something like it but dosn't work out as well as yours.
Matt, UK
November 6th, 2007 @ 10:48 am
I'm not sure how I'd use any of those elements in any current projects, but I'm always keen on new tutorials. Are these new tutorials Evolution specific?
November 6th, 2007 @ 10:50 am
my wife is going to kill me for giving you more of my hard earned money....unless I get to her first.
November 6th, 2007 @ 10:53 am
Wow Andrew, I must say you have out done your self this time, Not only are the designs time consuming to make, but making them Grow / Evolve is a chore in it's self, And WOW what great package you have put together.

You must be very proud of this product, I know I would be :)
November 6th, 2007 @ 10:56 am

November 6th, 2007 @ 11:01 am
Wow! I'm so glad I stumbled accross your website at this time. This is perfect timing as I can buy this before spending all my money on "Black Friday" I'm looking for the link to be added to your mailing list 'cause I know there will be many more surprises to come. I suggest a showcase to see how these products are improving creativity. I'm sure artists will gain more jobs or contracts, win more awards, get more dates, yada, yada, yada!

Thanks in advanced for helping me win my Emmy!
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:03 am
Will you be creating a tutorial on how to make our own "flourishes"... as an animator I cannot in good conscience use someone else's animation.

I have a book of floral designs very similar to the ones you're using.

As always thank you, you've taught me more about after effects than 3 years of college education.
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:05 am
This has got to be the coolest thing I've ever seen, you rock Kramer :-)
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:10 am
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:11 am
This is really great stuff and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I was wondering though if we will learn how you created the flourishes on any of the tutorials, (more specifically the techniques you used to create them) or if there will be a tutorial on this in the future? It looks like the flourishes are .mov files (which is understandable), but if we were just wondering how to make a flourish from scratch to make it even more "custom-made." Hopefully I didn't miss this anywhere and I'm being redundant...

Regardless - love the look of this product!
November 6th, 2007 @ 10:13 am
Andrew (and your equipe) you are the best.. I admire your job

Clement, French which admires you....

P.S : if my English is poor , It's normal ...
November 6th, 2007 @ 10:21 am

My last post about this was deleted, But I will give you a TIP!
These are extremely time consuming animations but not hard to make.

Search for Google for GROW tutorial.

I would have bought that for $175 a week and a half ago... I was in desperate need of it...

It looks amazing! definitely setting the bar high!

November 6th, 2007 @ 10:28 am
It's look amazing ! Even if I have seen a few preview stuff, this promo just blew me away.

I loved that camera movement of the arrow moving from one comp to the other

I am looking forward to the release.

Fantastic work Andrew, this product gonna be a best seller ;)

November 6th, 2007 @ 11:12 am
I'd also like to point out that even though I had the help from Evolution to create the product trailer, this was a very challenging video to say the least.

The design elements will save you time on that front but you're still going to spend plenty of time creating your graphics and customizing the effects. The more effort you put into your design work the more it will show on the final comp.

The bottom line is, it takes hours to create a single animation, (not counting the time to actually design the still art) most production pipelines do not allow this much time to be spent on a single element.

That's time you could be spending with your families.
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:13 am
Is anyone interested in seeing a full resolution version of the promo?

Umm yea send it our way! Andrew this product seriously looks amazing. I already know Im going to use what I learn from this, to add to my production logo. By the way, have u seen TAKEN yet? I uploaded it like 5 days ago. I used Action Movie Essentials for the last shot :) Cheers

November 6th, 2007 @ 10:57 am
Yes - put out the full resolution of the promo!!!!

Sometimes you can find good theme music by just searching google or checking some of your favorite video games. For those of you that played Rainbow 6 way back in the day, you could actually download the theme music for free on the composer's website. He had several tracks that he just put out on the net. I forget his name, but it should be fairly easy to find.

Again, this product looks amazing. It stinks we have to wait...lol..
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:08 am
Every time I post it replaces one of my old posts :(

Anyway... Yes Andrew A Full Res Version of the promo would rock!
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:13 am
Can't wait... gonna save me a load of time! THANKS! :)
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:16 am
Are posts delayed? I would love to see the full promo!
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:22 am
Something weird is happening with posts. I just posted a few minutes ago and it replaced one of my older posts from 11am. It's now 2:20pm.
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:24 am

Yes, I would very much like to see a downloadable full resolution promo. My favorite you've done so far is the one for Riot Gear, which thankfully you had included on the DVD. I can't even estimate how many times i've watched it to analyze the editing, timing.
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:24 am
Yea something wierd happend with mine as well. I didnt post at all for me. I ended up doing it like 3 times before it finally told me "I already said that." I still dont see it here. :(
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:25 am
It's not replacing them, I've updated the time stamp to reflect the new time change here so it was an hour off for a little while.
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:29 am
Ahh yes the day light savings change, Spring forward / Fall back :)

A 720 version for DL would be great, not that it makes a diference to the purchase!
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:58 am
Andrew, great stuff as a visual effects artist looking to break into compositing I have a lot of requests for this kind of motion graphics work. This product will save time on the frontline and more time spent of the design flow and detail work. Quick question, at one time you have a place to post Demo Reels, does that still exist and can I still send you mine?

November 6th, 2007 @ 12:41 pm
exellent looking good now i cant wait for it to come out and listning to the trailer maby a soundfx dvd2 would be fab ...

@ Andrew Kramer
Looks Great... but surley... it would be in our best interest (the ones buying the product) if you coud include the actual art work and a simplified version of each design ( in an After Effects Project) so we can Truly use our own creativity????

By simplified i mean just one of each of the elements that make up the design so we can duplicate them, scale them, and rearrange them...to make our own designs...

thanks also i used a few of your tutorials and other products i a music video i've just recently finished if i emailed it to you ( and if it met your standards) do you think you could put it in the blog???....
November 6th, 2007 @ 2:31 pm
Naim... I'm not sure what you mean, but all of the main part of the product is individual design elements similar to Riot Gear. You can do anything you want.
November 6th, 2007 @ 2:43 pm
High Res would be sweet, please!
When I was watching the trailer I was thinking it was for DSFX2.. It's that good!
November 6th, 2007 @ 3:07 pm
November 6th, 2007 @ 3:19 pm

November 6th, 2007 @ 4:13 pm
Now watching the promo I understand why it was called Evolution. It looks great.
It's a pity that I'm not a designer and I don't know where I could use it in my life as a hobby filmmaker. I'm more a VFX guy than a motion graphics guy. And therefor I'm really looking forward to Twitch. ;-)
November 6th, 2007 @ 4:48 pm
HOLT SHITE! I just wet myself.....

You are a king among pesants
November 6th, 2007 @ 5:25 pm
Good Lord!

This is just so exciting, I can't wait!!!!

Is there a way to download the promo on the website ?
November 6th, 2007 @ 5:40 pm
You're going to make so much money with this. Cool!
November 6th, 2007 @ 6:41 pm
Dear Savior and Master Andrew Kramer. Your insight is unprecidented. You have vaulted the large numbers of stand alone motion graphic designers and animators to the level of the big boys, who have 3-4 people dedicated to each project.
The entire Evoultion product is ridiculous. I have vector work I use but it takes a great deal of time and patience to animate.
I do have one request, that your next product be a series of tutorials incorporating the use of 3D and After Effect motion graphic ideas. Lessons on proper technique for exporting RFP files, using Cinema 4D model and scenes in an after effects project. To creating elements in 3D max or cinema 4D for use in trapcode particular.
Video Copilot is shifting the paradigm of advanced motion graphics work for the coming future.
November 6th, 2007 @ 7:08 pm

Ive wating for this, thanks Andrew one more time :D
November 6th, 2007 @ 7:18 pm
i nearly lost it after watching the promo video...

November 6th, 2007 @ 7:27 pm
Outstanding! This is the first stock collection I've seen that actually comes with a decent tool for varying the look. I can already see the applications of twister regardless of weather or not I'm using elements from Evolution. Good show, my friend.
November 6th, 2007 @ 7:28 pm
Holy crap, this product looks like it kicks ass!!!!

Man, what a great idea for a product, and from just the promos, it looks to be
one of the biggest winners for you yet.
November 6th, 2007 @ 7:36 pm
Rather LARGE anticipation CHUBB over here. Another TOP Video Copilot product. Please more tutorials with the Co Pilot Products.

November 6th, 2007 @ 8:43 pm
Good point Aharon! You can use any layer it looks like. Just set the Twister layer as the parent.
November 6th, 2007 @ 9:53 pm
oh sorry about my previous entry andrew.
i wasnt thinking that that might be offensive to people..

sorrry (:

but the product truly seems awesome.

i cannot wait,
i just got paid, so im savin that hundred (:

November 6th, 2007 @ 11:48 pm
@ Andrew Kramer

I asume that each design is made of 80 or a 100 ( maybe more) individual layers that are masked, or trackmatted on.

I also asume that many of these layers are duplicates of one original that have been scaled, rotated, and positioned in to another place, with a time remap adjusting when they start to apear.

now what i am saying is we could use our creativity more if you gave us a simplified version of the each of the designs in an AE project so we can rearrange the layers and design our own...

it seems that if you release this product as it is, and people use it... it will scream videocopilot...

maybe it can even be an opsional download... but please consider it as i think this is a serious flaw in your product...

does any one agree???

thanks for listening...
November 6th, 2007 @ 11:50 pm
This looks amazing. Brilliant Work. Now I just got to find the money from somewhere.

as long as am still in Videocopilot all my world is about MOTION GRAPHICS, i have once done growing elements in A.E but not has neat and cool like this..

EVOLUTIONS has come to take is PLACE!

but one question Andrew, there is a growing elements that looks like a 3D movement, though i could try and get the simulation but i still want to know how that was done!!!(the glowing blue grows after the grunges motions)

Lastly, is it possible to composite the growing with live footage, meaning, having them to interact with the humans, have seen commercial where a man was skating with a growing arrow and it was real, so real!

can this be done, will there be any motion tracking?

well, lots of question, dont mind mii am just in Spirit with VideoCoPilot.Com
