Actually that is Mr Sonny Garcia.
November 11th, 2007 @ 9:32 am
Awesome! I just wanted to add one thing - that sound at the end of your promo video may be the most excellent sound ever... I'll be checking Designer SoundFX to see if it's in there (*crosses fingers*).
November 11th, 2007 @ 9:49 am
I can't wait to get this thing tomorrow.
November 11th, 2007 @ 10:01 am
@ Nina Provost:

The intro voice you hear in the promo is performed by Sonny Garcia, a professional voice over artist in the industry. You can check out more of his work at www.sonnygarcia.com

Hello! Once I needed this flourishes, about 6 months ago, and there was no such product...well, i could do it with masks and Stroke, and it was acceptable, but now it would certainly be muuuuch better! Thank you Andrew for all this products and tutorials!
November 11th, 2007 @ 10:39 am
These DVD's seem so amazing and Evolution will make them even greater. The tutorial section has convinced me to buy the whole collection. The price for the whole collection is $350 but is it cheaper if I download it. I have a 20mb connection so bandwidth isn't an issue. Just want to get the price down a little :D

Thanks for any info

Hey Andrew...

I was sitting in church this morning when I decided to look at your blog on my phone...

November 11th, 2007 @ 4:54 pm
Anyone download or buy this yet? I wanna know if it's truly worth buying. :P
November 11th, 2007 @ 5:15 pm
Scott I dont think no one can help you if you have not figured it our yourself by now or by watching his tutorials. If your not planning on using them at all then its not worth unless you just want to make kramer rich. check out his tutorials and decide for your self.
Jacob Aaron
November 11th, 2007 @ 5:24 pm

(my grandma gave me a monopoly board every Christmas until she passed away, we have like 6 unopened monopoly boards)
November 11th, 2007 @ 11:05 pm
Looking forward for this unfortunitly funds are tight and with my brother going in for surgery I think I'll have to wait to late Dec for this one.

Looks great though can not wait to try it. Looks like it'll be really good for creating transitions in my demo reel.
November 11th, 2007 @ 11:42 pm
My compliments for the service Andrew! Quick download response and fast delivery.. wow! A lot of companies can learn from you. Learn from the quality of the products and learn for the quick customer support and service!

November 12th, 2007 @ 1:01 am
Hey ,
just ordered it, and downloading right now !
Can't wait to use it.

Many, many thanks to Andrew and the team for the stunning products at more than affordable prices, and of course for all the work and enjoyment they gave us throught the blog and very cool tutorials all year long.
Andre Prior
November 12th, 2007 @ 1:07 am
Mr. Aponso, you are joking, right?

Can you imagine how much work Andrew put into this product? The promovideo alone took 3 days to create. I think the price is reasonable and fair. Nobody force you to buy it. Andrew created 50+ free tutorials and I think the last thing to thank him, is to buy his great products and you can use / need them.
Lynton Brown
November 12th, 2007 @ 1:47 am
Just downloaded Evolution.
So simple but can be so complex.
I Love it.

Andrew you deserve to become a millionaire,
You treat your users and web viewers with respect and you make everyone feel like your talking one on one. With a great personality thats down to earth your one of only a few that will go a long way.
No I'm not sucking up, this is a fact.
November 12th, 2007 @ 2:22 am
Hey Andrew

When i saw it was available for sale...i immediately purchased it!!!!
Its the fifth product im buing from videocopilot...its the less thing we can do for your awesome services and tutorials...

Come on guys//Lets support Andrew!!!!!!!!!
November 12th, 2007 @ 2:53 am
Don't know who Andre is referring to two comments up (Mr. Aponso), but I couldn't agree more. I spent close to $400 on vector packs and a few animated flourishes...Evolution could easily sell for way more. I don't know if having a low price point is for marketing purposes or just because Andrew really cares about this community -- either way, it's helped so many artists such as myself and I truly appreciate and thank him for it.

November 12th, 2007 @ 3:20 am
I just got my boss to order it - what a trooper!

Now, we're just waiting for the product. I'm excited!
November 12th, 2007 @ 3:33 am
belive the hype
i have just been playing with this product for about 30 minutes and it is amazing. good work andrew
everyone else what you waiting for???
November 12th, 2007 @ 6:03 am
My boss doubly rocks! Not only did the studio buy Evolution & SoundFX, they bought ME Serious FX & Compos. Tutorial DVD... Thanks JG and VCP!

...now I just need to wait...
November 12th, 2007 @ 7:22 am
Mark and Jacob with all do respect stop sucking up, I just wanted to see a few more elements before I buy this. :)
November 12th, 2007 @ 7:25 am
To all those thinking of ordering this product, do.

With very little effort, you can get something to look extraordinary. With a lot of effort, you can use this product as a launching pad to start earning yourself some money.

The best way to use Evolution isn't necessarily on its own (although, as Andrew has proved, you certainly can do so very successfully - there are endless variations to be exhausted), but in conjunction with other design elements unique to your project, a creative imagination and some comfortable underwear. Then you'll be laughing.

95 bucks is a steal. Most production houses would charge a few hundred dollars for half this material.

Thanks Kramer and co.
November 12th, 2007 @ 7:38 am
Ok, ok ...
What about RIOT GEAR 2 ???

Matt in MO.
November 12th, 2007 @ 7:51 am
I am submitting a Purchase request to my church later today for the Evolution and SoundFX bundle....
November 12th, 2007 @ 8:07 am
How long before we see these elements on network tv??? My guess is within the next few weeks.

If i don't get this for christmas or my birthday (only 5 days apart) i will be ordering it shortly after.
McLovin it
November 12th, 2007 @ 9:48 am
Scott makes a valid point, Maybe Andrew could break down the next product so we may choose what elements we want to purchase, I have seen many sites do this,

I know ATM I can't afford this product, but.. I would purchase individual elements
If I could.

Maybe make it for download only, Minimum $35.00 order, Give each element a price tag, say out of 170 design elements each element would coast .65 Cents, and for all orders $35.00 or more you get Twister Free!

Do the math, .65 cents times 170 elements = $110.50 thats $15.00 more than the whole product.

Just a thought!
November 12th, 2007 @ 9:55 am
... I'll handle the marketing around here. This ain't ebay.
McLovin it
November 12th, 2007 @ 10:00 am
Sorry Mr Andrew Kramer, It was just a thought since I can't afford it right now,
Anyway it looks like a great product and I hope it does well for you.

November 12th, 2007 @ 10:02 am
Already saved me hours on a sun night project! Thanks for all your hard work AK
November 12th, 2007 @ 10:04 am
No worries, we just have a specific business plan and we like to work hard on a complete package so that you have the tools available.

November 12th, 2007 @ 10:07 am
Well as soon as I get some cash flow coming in I will purchase Evolution, I hope it is soon as I look forward to using it in some projects.

Thanks again.
November 12th, 2007 @ 10:20 am
Does anyone here really think that Andrew does all of this by himself!?!?! What about Thanking the other people involved in the making of this web site, the demos, tutorials, support and products! Please People... be nice but share the thanks around with the whole team at Videocopilot dot net. A lot of hard work went into this latest Project.

Great job on ... Evolution! Andrew, Jeff, Mark, Tino, Sam, Bobby, Matt, Bill, George, Tina, Jennifer, Zak, Liz, Tom, Scott, Betty, Sue, Sonny and Mango.

did I miss anyone.. hee hee

@ McLovin

**..you got shot down..**

The best thing about VC's products is that they all work together.. If you think that evolution is all that you need... think again.

Riot Gear has more textures as well as other elements that can work with evolution... VC allows us VFX artists to play more with our imagination that waisting precious time on creating these different design elements..

Some people might argue that these elements are on in style right now.. but I say with twister and your imagination, you create you're own style.

+ for you younger guys out there who do not have the cash flow yet, X-mas is coming and it is well worth a measly $95 not just for VC's hard work, but for the amount of time you can save to make your projects look more professional. Probably more professional than the skill level you're at. (me included in that)

Well thanks Dustin James :)

But I'm not a young guy I'm 45, And I have 4 kids to feed :)

November 12th, 2007 @ 10:59 am
I forgot, let me clarify something,
It's not the price tag (Cost) of Evolution for me, It's more about when I will be working again at the moment there is no work for me so I need to watch my money closely, as soon as I get on a new movie I will purchase Evolution for sure.

Thanks again to Andrew and his team.
November 12th, 2007 @ 11:32 am
Awesome, we just bought it for greatfishmedia. I can't wait to go through the tutorials!!!
November 12th, 2007 @ 11:35 am
Ok now after some testing, great product and great support! BTW Andrew if you need vocals or a Soundtrack ask me next time, I'm a professional musicproducer and I bet my price is a little bit lower than the one of your high end production music house. And I got some references by some famous musicians. :-)
November 12th, 2007 @ 11:41 am
Looking forward to purchasing Evolution -- I'm scared to get it now because I have a lot going on and I'll want to spend all my time on the tutorials!! I'll have to wait a couple days!

Peace and cheers from India.
November 14th, 2007 @ 12:55 am
The excitement is getting too much.

The boss wont let me download the DVD's because of bandwidth usage (Telstra Business (ISP) here in Oz can really be annoying). I know VCP sent him a link to the download section, but he wants to wait for the product in hand. I'm just too excited. He told me to "Hurry up and wait!" to which I have no comeback.

can anyone using it please "bragg" how much fun they're having?

sorry for the spam VCP, I'm just impatient and excited. I can't wait...
November 14th, 2007 @ 1:25 am
Hey Andrew what about a tutorial of configurating ae? i have a very very good pc and my ae still low... i watched your tut of evolution and renders so fast... dont know what im doing wrong :S
November 14th, 2007 @ 4:50 am
What is the name of the album in the Evolution and more.
Please give me the name!!
Im excited for know
November 14th, 2007 @ 8:09 am
Great tutorials!!Great products!!Great man!!
from China.
November 14th, 2007 @ 8:29 am
Casko.. it's called video editing =Þ

He said it himself in one of the tuts that he cuts the waiting / rendering parts to reduce the tutorial size / length

November 14th, 2007 @ 8:48 am

I believe you, you got a good pc but care to show us details about it? Dont get me wrong, if your saying that your AE is still slow.

Check your memory ram. To able to run the AE smooth workflow, you need a requirement at least 2gig of memory ram.

If you have less than 1gig ram then it is not going to work fast.

AE takes lots of memory ram. Andrew might have like 6 gig of ram or something :)
November 14th, 2007 @ 9:48 am
You can lower the virtual ram setting in AE and put atleast 2gigs of ram ...that works ok . having issues w open gl myself - will only load w/ ae 7 pro but not on latest version of ae.

@ Casko

besides the fact that Andrew is running an Intel Core 2 Duo 6800 Extreme Processor (http://www.videocopilot.net/contact.html).

In EvolutioN he shows a quick fix to help render-previews faster than normal.

Tutorial 04. Cool Design @ 10:10.

and Eldee is right too; Andrew does edit the tutorials when he renders, but for the most part, I do not detect to much editing of these tutorials packaged with EvolutioN.

November 14th, 2007 @ 6:25 pm
Lord and Master Drew Kramer. Wow I love this. I wanted this product about a month ago. ha.
I have some flourishes and tech lines from a while back but I would have to animate myself. Folks you don't know now much other work I can do with that 45 mins to properly animate a flourish.
I have not used them as yet, well in fact I am but I have not finished the project.
Here are some other projects have completed that used your other tutorials.

Once again what an awesome set of ideas and products you bring us.

Funny how this is turning into a forum (hint hint).

Anyone know how to get high quality flash video such as the Evolution promo vid? I'm using H.264 and can't get the compression looking good, any tips/resources would be appreciated. I'd like to post my reel and show how I used Evolution on some stuff!

I might be mistaken but your RAM maybe 3gb but the fact that you have DDR2 mixed with DDR...

I think that the DDR2 gets dumbed down to the DDR.... (RAM runs as fast as your slowest stick goes)

Hi Andrew!
First, evolution is very nice as always.
Your products are really outstanding.
But i have a question:
Why arent you listed at IMDB? Im sure you hade some work, which is listed there?!
I would really like to know what youre doing when youre getting professionel and not caring about your tutorial babies;)
So keep on your excellent work!

Hey, parents have agreed to get me this for Christmas. So now I will have all of your products xD. Searching on the internet, I found Video Copilot and Andrew Kramer does not have a wikipage. Is there any chance that there could be one, as I think everyone should know about all the hard work Andrew does. Keep it up.

Hey guys,

Has anyone ever used the Photoshop CS3 animation yet? You can import MOV. files into photoshop and go to (windows>animation) and you will see a very familiar animation timeline appear at the bottom.

You can render animations straight out of photoshop to most any format....

Thinklayer styles + photoshop filters + evolution animations..... Using the bevel layer style with these is phenominal... also try converting these animations to paths.... then convert to stroke path... then applying a glow layer style...

These are great for photoshop users with CS3 extended.... :D

There seems to be a few requests for info concerning sound. Perhaps a post by either andrew, one of the other team members of videocopilot, or someone in the industry giving tips or sources for good (even though probably expensive) royalty free music would be appropriate. I know personally i would love to get my hands on some chants similar to those from the riot gear and evolution trailers. Make sure you buy Designer Sound FX before going anywhere else though, i can tell you from personal experience that its great not only for its price:quality ratio but also when you just starting out creating soundtracks to your work. Also, Evo is great...layering them in 3d space is a wicked effect.

Thanks for all the hard work VC,

Mr Andrew Kramer I have a question ?

Do you base your Comp animations in your Promo's off of a Music Score?
or do you make the Comp animation first, then add a Music Score?

Something Ive always wondered :)

November 18th, 2007 @ 1:55 pm
anyway of getting the stilled images of the flourishes, extensions, arrows and what not so that i could use them in photoshop for like wallpapers and what not?

I'd like to know before buying the product.
gracias senior (:
November 18th, 2007 @ 4:38 pm
For McLovin:

You should buy Designer Sound FX , because 1 of the tutorials include in that DVD explains how Mr. Andrew makes his promos, therefore if you want to know how he base his promos. you should get the DVD.
he'll teach you if he makes the score first, or the actual animation then the score

Hi Andrew,

Just wondering where you got the designs for Evo from?

I had the Evolution style idea a while ago (as Im sure many others did) I found some really nice floral vectors on Stock Exchange and I emailed people to ask permission to animate there designs and sell them to others, but I never got any replies.

Did you get someone you know to design them for your collection?

Yo Andrew, downloaded and loving evolution. A quick yes or no question if you can: I am trying to do a combined evolution/designer sound F/X motion graphic. I am creating a shatter effect which then reveals behind it a composition I created with evolution, my question is:

Is it possible to have a lens flare behind the shatter which spills out past the shards somewhat like a volumetric light? This is so it appears to be flooding out past the shards and they are casting shadows in this light as they fall. Is this possible in After Effects or only feasible in a 3D program such as 3DSMax? I want to have the evolution items with Shine on them but this shine spills past the particles as opposed to being in a flat x,y plane behind the shatter.

Thanks for any comment.

Hey master ! are you gonna have the "Twister preset only" for sale (without all the animations) ? ... I have a few of animations like the ones you are including with evolution DVD and having that preset i could have more possibilities and of course save a lot of time.

Oh well, business is business.

I'm guessing nobody will read this, but I just bought Evolution and I not only love the project, but I made the money that I spent on it back the same day that I bought it and used it! This product is definitely worth it's weight in gold!
December 4th, 2007 @ 11:29 pm
Today I made my first CoPilot purchases.

I have to tell you... I'm thrilled with the professional quality.

However, I guess I wasn't clear about what's in the product packs.
I was expecting to find an After Effects lesson or two on how to do the reveal masks that the Evolution MOV files were made with.
Maybe it's on the disks and I haven't found it yet.
If I have it in my purchase, could someone point me to it ?

On the other hand, if it's not, please understand that I'm still completely satisfied with what I have here.

Having the pre-rendered MOV files that I won't have to do myself is very convenient and moves me forward on my current project faster in the short term anyway.

In the long term, I'd still like to master the After Effects animation technique for myself. Do you have another product set that covers that issue?
December 5th, 2007 @ 2:14 pm
Hi andrew!
I'm not sure but I do believe that they have used evolution on the Sweeney Todd Website. http://www.sweeneytoddmovie.com/

This is the video clip for a bulgarian song in Eurovision 2008. The Song is good, but my point is, that almost everywhere we can see "Evolution", which is Cool ;) And the creators of this video made it look so great thanks to this product. Evolution can make every boring video look awsome :)
