looks cool but i don’t think i gonna use it for something. it’s only cool to make but useless. i’m sorry andrew

July 7th, 2007 @ 6:06 am

NICE, Hey andrew I have some earth textures for any modelling program. I have a day one and a night one where you can see lights. All you have to do is aplly it to a texture and add it. Its really easy. The cool thing is that you can go into photoshop and make it look like doomsday too. Just brush it up you know. Do you want them?

July 7th, 2007 @ 6:14 am

Epic, just epic.

Can’t wait

July 7th, 2007 @ 8:13 am

To add to that, since you are into space and you’ve done the Space zoom and now are doing an earth. I’ve been wanting to put a live action version of this together. I know it would be possible, but I’m sure you could make it much easier.

I don’t think that you would see the earth spinning… Yeah the earth spins really super fast…

but when something is launched in to outer space it continues to spin with the earth…

o.0 looks neato

July 7th, 2007 @ 10:29 pm

Hey there’s enough people to get some good input on here…

I’m going to buy a green screen tomorrow…probably just some bright green fabric. Is there a better (cheap) way to go? And Andrew, have you ever considered making a forum on here? This is a really great site for us all to learn and share different things.

Thanks all.

July 7th, 2007 @ 10:48 pm

Judd – My experience with green screen fabric, it either needs to be very elasticy (so as it wont wrinkle if hung). I bought some cheap green material and it creases like you wouldn’t belive. Some MDF or cheap wood with a matte green finish would probably be better. Just head over to you hardware store and get their most lurid green paint with a matte finish. As long as you can store the board that you paint, your all set!

July 7th, 2007 @ 10:56 pm

R.E:”Dude, you need to show us how to blow up the earth after this one.”

There is actually already a tutorial on how to blow up the earth in 3ds maxonline somewhere. Could be very cool with the earth zoom.

July 7th, 2007 @ 11:14 pm

Jacob – Well noted. Never thought about the fabric creasing, though, i’m not sure that i’ll always have the room for something as permanent as a board…

thanks for the tip!

July 7th, 2007 @ 11:52 pm

Hey Andrew that check you paid me bounced!

July 8th, 2007 @ 3:20 am

Mark
July 8th, 2007 @ 9:17 am

oOo. I would definatley get in on a forum. That would be very very smart. About the green screen, I plan on getting a nice big sheet of wood, and I got some paint to paint on it.
