Shooting with Canon 7D in 1920x1080. Editing with Final Cut Express. Importing video files without any changes requires rendering in FC after each effect. I was told to use StreamClip and compress the file. What are the specs to use? I am doing something wrong because the video quality decreases and looks interlaced.

Hello, I read over your tutorial and found it very helpful, but I still have a question. I would greatly appreciate it if you had the time to help me with this issue concerning rendering (obviously). My issue is the quality of my video after uploading it to youtube. I render my files first in Vegas, using the same frame rate as the source and at 1280x720, I then render it out in Adobe Media Encoder using the H.264 codec with the frame rate the same as the source (25fps in this case) and the my resolution at 1280x720 once again. The level is at 3.1,CBR one pass with the Mbps at 14. Somehow the end quality is great on my computer, but as soon as I upload it, the quality seems to be more than halved. I don't understand how others using the same codec can achieve such great results even after upload.

Thank-you, sorry for such a long question.

Awww damn, but I love to jump off trains! I guess I won't be doing that anymore. At least it explains why my renders are such bad quality. Maybe I could time travel back and not jump off all those trains. I better start writing up my plans...
Haha, thanks for the info Andrew! :)

I need help. Whenever I render a video, if it is a longer video, it only renders part of it. Is there a way to make it render the whole thing?
