Designer Sound FX Now Available!

Okay, it started at 200 sounds, then 300, now 500! The point is when we make a product we go all out. I’ve been having tons of fun using these sounds and I know you guys will love this DVD.

Not to mention several great tutorials! Including this shatter one.

Also I get into how to plan and execute a promo video in After Effects. Here is a free tip: audio comes first and you match the visuals to the audio not the other way around.

Andrew

WOW. blown away with the new promo video for sound fx!! Just amazed!. I have to ask you, the backgrounds you used (still images) are those from your riot collection? I’ll have to look. Also loved the color like ice effect you gave it. At least that is the impression i got. A cold freeze look, IMO. And that that shatter effect is top notch! Best I have seen compared to others on the net. I hope the tutorial is on the dvd i just bought. I will be staying up super late tomorrow night playing with after effects. lol.. Keep up the good work.

though, that slow mo wall blowing effect looks pretty dang cool, the blocks seem to spin… weird…. intermittently…

Hopefully you cover the fix for this in the full tut and it was only left in there for that demonstration. woah… freaky… the word Demon is in the word demonstration…

Ahem.

Hopefully it was only left in there for that video… you showed us… to help… us.. understand… things.

Much better.

Still looks purdy dang cool though.

Great quality, great choice to make a compilation.
Now ideas flow out of head ! i think it will start with visual mix of some of them. For people who looks for good sounds, this is a must to have. Regards.

Hey Andrew, you got any scratching nails on a chalkboard? I could use a few iterations of that. Don’t know anyone man enough to record such a nerve racking effect, except the HARDCORE crew at videocopilot.net!!! Let me know if you stumble across something.

Designer Sound FX is a fantastic product! I own several professional SFX packages from various providers, and this one is one of my favorites already. The turorials with the package are fantastic and the sounds are incredible.

Make sure your audio isn’t clipping in your final renders…it’s easy to do with such bassy driven sounds…but they sound fantastic.

Way to go Andrew! Nice product. I’m very pleased!

For all those wondering, my vote is “BUY IT”!!!

Just looking over the tutorials in DSFX. I agree with Andrew about using Sony Vegas for audio mixes. I know that there are those die hard fans out there who are all about ProTools and that’s cool too but Vegas is great for it’s simplicity and ease of use (and it’s really a pretty powerful tool!). I’m actually the program I originally learned how to mix on at AIS (Art Institute of Seattle) before we moved on to ProTools. I highly recommend it. However, if you want to get a copy, try to find one without DVD Architect that it’s usually bundled with. It’s not a very flexible program and the final product just doesn’t look good (it doesn’t have any options to boost quality when it comes time to burn the disc). Ok, enough of me rambling (and these frequent parenthesis encased side notes). Get Vegas. It rox0rz. Get Designers Sound FX. It rox0rz³.

Hey… there’s a BONUS!

I just received my Designer Sound FX DVDs, and am very impressed. But there is also a priceless bonus in the “Introduction” tutorial. Go to about 7 or 8 minutes in, and you’ll hear Andrew as a voice actor!

“Johnny… where’s Brian? He was right here with us!” “What’s that on the ground?” Such talent. Priceless.

Seriously, another great addition to my collection. Thanks!
